Awesome Russian films about...erm...vampire police, OK?

Imagine The Matrix but not shit, with an 'urban fantasy' twist. Wiertd and cool.

The first one was shit, does it improve much in the second?

Well, I thought it pwned. Second one is much in the same vein only slightly more ridiculous and probably better plot twists.

Ok here goes, I recently watched The Patriot. Yes the one with Steven 'Indian' Segal.
He sure as hell cannot act, but if he could, he would be the most subtle actor in the world.
As far as the movie goes, wellaahem... common, the message is nice, isn't it?

*** SPOILER AHEAD***
And the scene with the soldiers picking flowers is that kind of Sigur Rós warm and fuzzy. Makes me all, oh gosh the planet and mother earth is great-feeling inside.

So yeah, alright, I did like it. But I quickly put on Arch Enemy - Black Earth to rid myself of all the joy and friendliness. :dio:

That movie is awesome. Doesn't he kick a bad guy through a vending machine at some point? The scene where the army drops flowers from helicopters is also hilarious.

He sure did, and punched one guy through the wall. And killed a guy with a broken whine glass. Badass.

Is that the one where he uses a bottle as a silencer? I love that one.

Question about Children of Dune miniseries:

Is it any good ? I have not read any of Herbert's Dune books but I like sci-fi and I heard that this is a nice miniseries. I have also seen the older movie and I think I liked it. Should I get it and watch it ?

I can't recall something like that really, but sounds pretty neat.
I had no idea how appreciated Steven is here

And I saw Sweeney Todd for the second time, it was brilliant at the cinema and almost better now in the sofa at home. Those songs really stick. And the acting, and lightning and scenery and just about everything is great about the film.

Bought Semi Pro on DVD and watched it. With a girl. :) but both parents were also present as well as my sister and a friend of hers. Still funny and retarded. I watched the sweaty version, or whatever its called.

I also watched a documentary called The Passion Returns (nothing to do with Jesus, unless Jesus name is Doug or Wendel). This movie made me happy, then sad right after it was over.

I continue my horror movie marathon during the summer with the Spanish Rec. The whole movie is, just like Cloverfield and Diary of the Dead, viewed through a regular movie camera which puts you in teh action, so to speak. I like the concept, and Rec put it to good use. I enjoyed it, tense atmosphere, some great scenes, good acting and emphasise on the unknown and such.

Futurama: The Beast with a Billion Backs

The sequel to Bender's Big Score.

Not as great as the plot outline promised, but it's still Futurama. The ending wasn't left open for a sequel, but apparently there will be two more films coming, the next one in November.

Oh I forgot to add, it has got special appearances by David Cross and Stephen Hawking. Awesome.

Derailed. Decent and Clive Owen resembles Travis Bickle at the end.

The Orphanage. definitely worth watching, it's only got one or two real BOO! moments, but it has a great tension throughout and a nice story.

:dio:

The 3rd Pirates of the Caribbean

Not as good as the first two, too long and kinda anti-climactic...

The Exorcist III - I thought this was really good.

The Brood - A little slow, but an interesting concept all the same. The reveal of what was fully going on with the wife was cool.
