Apocalypto. Wow. Why didn't I watch this before? It is great. Say what you want about him and he is indeed an asshole, but Mel Gibson knows how to spend his money in the movies.

yeah, Apocalypto was great but nowhere near as violent as certain people told me it would be.

saw Bourne Ultimatum last night, pretty cool, but i liked Supremacy better.

Saw the Bourne Ultimatum, the third one yet the first I'd ever seen. It was pretty lame- there was barely a plot (and the twist was lifted straight from X-Men 2- actually, the plot amounts to about one scene from X-2), and while some of the action/chase sequences were cool and Matt Damon decent, shakey cam disease ruins all. Seriously, why the fuck does anyone think shakey cam is a good idea, and why are directors now using it even in conversation scenes?

So ya, I have no clue why these movies are so popular. Maybe I need to see the first two or something, but I probably won't.

Maybe you would have understood the plot better if, I dunno, you had seen the first two movies...

Anyways, The Invisible...it was okay.

A Scanner Darkly

Pretty disjointed and confusing. It clumsily came together at the end, but only small fragments of it and not enough to justify sitting through an hour and 30 minutes before only a small bit of it starts to make sense. I pretty much didn't understand what was going on at all. But it looked cool. Kinda wore out at the end and just became pretty tiresome to look at.

Meh.

I thought the third one sucked. The first one is damn awesome though. The second is a decline from that and the third one from that. Seriously, watch the first one. It is good.

Glad to see that atleast two people agree with me on these films. First Bourne flick is great but then they started with the MTV-music video inspired directing and all went to shit. God I hate the camera work in the second and third. You simply do not jump between twenty different angles in a few seconds during a simple conversation, it's bad taste and completely useless. And it also takes the edge of the action scenes since the whole movie is shot the same way.

I saw Gone Baby Gone yesterday. At first I didn't think much of it, and I actually thought it was about to end at around the one hour mark. But as things developed, earlier scenes started to make sense, small details became important and the ending brought everything together masterfully. Absolutely brilliant. Especially the very last scene, it really got me thinking back and putting things together even more.

I agree about the Bourne films. I saw the first one twice at the cinema, which was awesome. I can't really remember what happened in the second one, but I remember it being pretty cool. Haven't seen the third one yet, but usually when everyone complains about shaky camera-syndrome I can't see anything wrong with it. The shaky camera shit just doesn't bother me.

i liked all three Bourne movies. when i heard people whining about the camera in the 2nd and 3rd i thought it would really annoy me but i didn't notice it at all.

I love you so I'll watch the first one so we have something to talk about on our next date.

And glad to hear people agree with me about the camerawork. I don't usually pay too much attention to camera shots, but damn, Bourne Ultimatum's was horrible.

If by "talk" you mean "arm wrestle" and by "date" you mean "beer drinking contest with lots of boobies all over the place..."

...who am I kidding.

Watching Sex and the City the movie right now. It's pretty good, if you've watched the whole show that is. Otherwise it's shit.
