Now, Russia. A good, anarchist and chaothic team. I think it's the kind of play more suited to ours.

WHat a terrible game we played, ultra solid defense but other than that, not good at all. Oh well, hopefully Russia wins!

the Mannschaft really is like a tank. slowly but surely it gets where it's going
and Turkey, man, they're like zombies. their determination and spirit throughout the competition is a huge lesson to other teams (Portugal i'm taking about you).

what about the other semi-final? i think Spain are going through. i think the "Furia" is back after their victory against Italy (and history).

all in all, i think this Euro is being better than 2004 and 2000. well done to all teams (except france ).

EDIT - just saw the goals and is it just me or is there a massive offside in the first goal? what about 2-1 by Klose, for a moment i thought Ricardo was now playing for Turkey!

The Germans were really outplayed by the Turks and I'm really sad that Turkey lost. They really ran sixes and sevens around Germany.

Next semi, Spain v Russia. Although Russia looks like the weaker team on paper, I'm sure they're able to give Spain a run for their dinero.

Seriously though, boring match last night. Yaaawn.

well, Spain just won 3-0. i'm rooting for them in the final.

Iniesta's pass in the first goal (Xavi) was beautiful. great goal by Guiza too.

Well, we're in the final. Our midfield is incredible, Senna-Xavi-Iniesta-Silva-Cesc-Xavi Alonso... That's the spanish key.
Now, to beat Germany.

Victoria!! With this semi final thrashing of Russia Spain have proven they are the best passing team in the world. I am not making any predictions as to who will win the final, but I do believe that the Spanish midfield and strikers will run circles around Germany's almost non-existent midfield. My only concern is that Germany are very dangerous through the air, an area we are traditionall weak in defending against. However, I am confident our midfielders will keep the ball away from the Germans long enough to put a few goals past Lehman.

I'm gonna be the villain here. Germany 1 Spain 0.

Germany has a strong midfield, particularly if Frings is fit. It's the defence that Spain will tear to shreds.

My prediction is: Spain will make the German defence look like donkeys and deserve to win, but will waste their chances and go down to a Klose goal

i think Iniesta is the boss (not that Xavi isn't awesome or anything, because he is). the midfield in general is just too solid - Xavi, Iniesta, Fabregas, Silva and Senna!

Finally Spain broke their 44 year old duck and it's all thanks to Torres!!! Saw some crazy fans drinking Torres wines after the match. And they were all wearing Liverpool jerseys, haha!
