The Halloween remake was wank..... let's try and explore Michael Myers' troubled background, yeah great idea Rob Zombie.

The biggest problem with Hollywood remakes is that they always try to explain things that don't need any explanation.

er... where.. where would one draw the lines for the acts? for me the film was a bit dead only after they caught the joker, but right after he broke out it became awesome again..
Spoilers below, maybe:

But the interrogation scene was so badass.

So I saw The Dark Knight for the 4th and final time. It still is good, but I will wait for the DVD release.

I also watched the Brothers Solomon. I remember seeing a preview for this a year or more ago, and I couldn't wait to see it. Then I forgot all about it. Wathced it last night, and it has a few moments that made me laugh, but all in all a bad movie.

And I watched Dirty Harry, 70's fun.

And I found out that there will definitely be a 3rd season for Dexter, so I am re-watching season 2.

Hah. What? So you've seen it four times, but you'll wait for the DVD?

Anyway, the new season of Dexter will be airing in September, which is fucking awesome, because Dexter is the best crime/thriller ever.

The part where they are staking out the childrens park and the cops pull up is hilarious.. If only the whole movie was on that level of funny.

You, sir, are correct. It's kind of a guilty pleasure since there are the stereotypical corny TV drama moments but moments like the hotel room covered in blood and tent full of melted bodies quickly make up for it.

Did you like the first act? I thought it brought the average score of the film down. Also, Maggie Gyllenhal, I think she's an OK actor, but I think she was miscast.

I loved the first act. I really like that if you'd taken Batman out of the film it would have still been a good cop movie.

Gyllenhal I think did a good job. I'd never have been able to take Katie Holmes seriously in the character's later scenes.

I know, when I first saw the trailer it showed that part and I got really excited about it. But it just let me down, like most other things.

And i watched:
The Condemned
Romper Stomper
and another episode of Dexter. 1 a night.

Romper Stomper!

Watched I'm Not There last night. A big, fat, dull film, nearly fell asleep.

Finally watched Dark Knight, and IMO it was a bit overhyped. Joker ruled, and I'll go see the film again just to watch him, but let's face it: Bale was boring, the deep throat thing with Batman was just plain gay, the ending sucked (Two Face dies ffs) and it wasn't as brutal as I was expecting. If the film plot/direction was suited for an 18 rating, it could have been a modern classic, but the fact is that without Joker this movie would have been forgettable at best.

But Heath Ledger gave an awesome performance, this Joker is easily the best Batman villian, or even the best superhero villian.

Get rich or die tryin', was on the telly today. Pathetic. Wouldv'e been cooler if it hadn't basically been a documentary on 50 Cent.

Harold and Kumar II

What a waste of time. More gross does not equal better.

Diving Bell And The Butterfy - The subtitles didn't work so had to watch it dubbed (aargh!) but still a great film.
