Thoughts?=)
Metal Church - Hanging In The Balance; i cannot even begin to describe just how good this album is, this is probably their most varied album the last with Mike Howe on vocals and also the last one with Craig wells on guitar, Mike is absolutely amazing here, best performance of his career hands down, just listen to Waiting for The Savior, it gives me the chills every time, as always youre gonna find lots of great riffs and leads i mean c'mon this is Metal church were talking here seriously how can a band survive when one of the greatest vocalist (David Wayne) and one of the greatest guitar players (Kurtd Vanderhoof) leaves you? you hire Mike Howe and John Marshall thats how, this line-up its just as good as the original from the first two albums (some people say its better) and Hanging In the Balance sees them at their best, the only thing that sucks about this is the cover art, great buy.
Forbidden - Forbidden Evil; Great piece of bay area thrash you bought here, Forbidden werent the best of the bunch but they do wrote some great songs, this is their best album IMO.
Evile - Enter The Grave; Meh some people claim them as the best retro-thrash band, i for one have heard better.
Municipal Waste - Hazardous Mutation; A very fun but very short (only 26 min!) little album, tons of riffs, hooks and even some great thrash breaks, if you like this you should listen to the crossover bands of the 80s like D.R.I. or S.O.D.
The Crown; Not really my thing but a lot of people think theyre awesome.
Heathen - Breaking The Silence; Yes this album kick ass in so many ways its not even funny, Heathen plays a style of Thrash metal very similar to early Overkill but with a very original sound, some of the best thrash riffs ever written are on this album and all the songs are catchy enough to induce a mandatory headbanging to your neck, this is actually available for free at their website (or was? im not sure) but is one of those albums that you just have to buy, if you like this (and there is no reason why you shouldnt) make your next task to buy Victims Of Deception you wont regret it.
