Well, I won't try to stop you, just brace yourself for an unhealthy dose of estrogen and more cheese than a 90 minute Rhapsody song. It works very well as a feel-good film though, and the acting is very good.

I can't believe anyone in this forum can actually stand 90 minutes of Abba.

11/10 on the scare/thrill factor, 2/10 on everything else. But it's intense enough that you don't notice that there's literally no plot while you're watching it. Overall quite good horror film--makes great use of the Cloverfield-style camera.

The Promotion - dry, slow moving comedy. got a few laughs out of me. but the canadian accents were horrible. 6/10

Dead Mans Bounty - polski western? no thanks. this was bad, just when you think it's going to pick up and start getting good. it goes right back to shit. val kilmers big role is a dead guy. I couldn't even finish this movie. 3/10

Into the Wild - blah. seen it before. 5/10

I recently watched Iron Man, and thought it was good. Would have been better if it had included more of those action-packed scenes!

The Dreamers - great soundtrack, good movie that was artsy but not too weird. i didn't like the actor who played the English dude; his talking reminded me of Hayden Christensen in the stars wars prequels.

The Search for John Gissing - i got this because Alan Rickman is in it and it's the director of Reign Over Me, but it was lame and not funny so i turned it off after 20 minutes

AAAGH I hate horror remakes, especially ones of films that were only released about 9 months ago anyway.

Eagle Eye - I really liked it! I am quite infatuated with Shia, though. But I found it really exciting.

Max Payne - Ahaha. ooh dear. SOO cheesey. holy crap! It was... okay. Didn't quite follow the plot line of the game, but I could still follow. And there was a lead up to a sequal, joyyy.

Snow Angels - depressing things happen to annoying people. it was well done and not too melodramatic but i didn't enjoy watching it.

Prey For Rock N'Roll - This was supposed to be what, a girlpunk rock film playing on Gina Gershon's average hotness to make up for the horrendous music? The only cool part was tattooing "rapist" on the guy who raped her friend's head.

I have but I feel like reading subtitles would take away from the suspense. I also check out UHM alot though.

Urm, I haven't seen Quarantine yet but did you realise that there is an inviolable scientific law that means remakes of horror films are always shit compared to the original? (Maybe excluding Carpenter's The Thing)

Seriously if you don't like to read subtitles then you are missing out on many awesome horror films, and will have to make do with the shit sanitised focus-group horror remake.

Classic movie. Harvey Keitel is awesome in that one too.

Think I must agree with you there. When I saw Gladiator not long ago, I didn't think it was as good as it had been before. Not sure why, though... :D

You misunderstand. I don't mind reading subtitles at all. I just don't think subtitles would be practical in [REC]. I haven't seen it but I assume it is 28 Days Later + Blair Witch Project, ie: lots of scrambling and running with little to none slow parts at which I would want to read dialogue.

That's fair but it's really not like that... the dialogue is pretty basic in most of the action parts basically consisting of "aaaagh" "oh shit" "fuck this is scary" etc etc. Great film.
