Meh. Really cheesy.

Blasphemy.

curbstomp

The violence and swearing seemed almost forced. Good moments, but it was a little too "preachy" (not the exact word I'm looking for, but close), and needlessly vulgar... And I've never called a movie needlessly vulgar before. Like I said, it just seemed forced, like it was all there just so it could be rated R.

I dunno, maybe. I just remember liking it. And the curbstomp.

Also, I thought it handled racism very well. Tells us that racism doesn't really do anything for us, but the ending shows that it's a reality as well.

got a funny story from that one... We were playing alot with a band called Curb... We watched the movie together, and when he says "Bite the curb" everyone from our band bit "The Curbs". Hard. They got angry, and left. Embarrassing.

It's Edward Norton being awesome (curbstomp... IN UNDERWEAR!) and the kid from Terminator 2 getting shot. How can you NOT love it? Even that shaven-headed, Kelly Brook-porking wanker Billy Zane seemed like a good actor in it.

RW: Not Here To Be Loved - cute French film about an older man falling in love with a younger woman through the power of tango. I love that if Hollywood or us Brits try something like this it comes over as overly-sentimental, but them French understands such things as the power of love. Yes.

I'm Not There - didn't totally understand what was going on in a lot of it because i know nothing about Bob Dylan but i still found it very enjoyable to watch and listen to. 8/10

Iron Man - awesomely entertaining movie. made 2 hours disappear. 8/10 + 1 for best ending ever = 9/10

As a Dylan fan, found it a bit ott. Cate Blanchett's bit was good, but Richard Gere is :lame: .

I found I'm Not There pretty hard to sit through, tbh... maybe because I'm not actually that interested in Bob Dylan's life story.

Why bother watching a film about Bob Dylan if you're not interested in him, guise?

Well, there are really two answers to that... Firstly, because I thought maybe it would turn out in the end to be interesting if I gave it a chance, and secondly, because my gf wanted to see it.

I think "The Prestige" may very well be one of my favourite movies ever! And I agree, Nolan and Bale are a killer team! .... I actually thought it was better the second time I watched it, as I didn't fully manage to understand the whole thing at first. Especially the ending is so damn great, I think it was spinning in my head for a long time after the movie ended. :D Recently, I haven't watched any films. Just a bunch of TV Shows...

i also liked it better the second time, knowing the ending certain things in the movie really clicked together beautifully, like:
- Borden's wife saying that sometimes he loved her and sometimes he didn't
- Cutter telling Angiers that with some practise, the double could well be his Angiers's brother, to which he replied "i don't need him to be my brother, i need him to be me"
- Borden's wife commenting that his wound was bleeding "as bad as the first time"

stuff like that. seriously, what a great movie.

speaking of Christopher Nolan, watched Insomnia today. it was a pretty solid thriller. Al Pacino did his standard going crazy thing well and the Alaskan landscape worked nicely. 7/10
