The Prestige (2nd time) - fucking AWESOME movie. damn near perfect. Christopher Nolan + Christian Bale = guaranteed win.

I think "The Prestige" may very well be one of my favourite movies ever! And I agree, Nolan and Bale are a killer team! .... I actually thought it was better the second time I watched it, as I didn't fully manage to understand the whole thing at first. Especially the ending is so damn great, I think it was spinning in my head for a long time after the movie ended. :D Recently, I haven't watched any films. Just a bunch of TV Shows...

i also liked it better the second time, knowing the ending certain things in the movie really clicked together beautifully, like:
- Borden's wife saying that sometimes he loved her and sometimes he didn't
- Cutter telling Angiers that with some practise, the double could well be his Angiers's brother, to which he replied "i don't need him to be my brother, i need him to be me"
- Borden's wife commenting that his wound was bleeding "as bad as the first time"

stuff like that. seriously, what a great movie.

And when Angiers came to see Borden in Prison as Lord Caldlow... "Yes, I am, and always have been"... :dio:

And at the very beginning, with the bird and the little kid... "But where's his brother?" Such a good movie.

Not just the best animated film ever, but also one of my absolute favourites. Perfect film in my opinion.

So true. Except for the fact that newest DVD incarnation has this weird deleted scene with Zazu the toucan(?) rapping.

Zack and Miri Make a Porno

Okay...a few funny parts. It's a romantic comedy. I didn't know that

I wasn't expecting much from that. They had to change the poster for ridiculous reasons, nothing remotely 'offensive' is going to make its way into a commercial comedy like that. Or am I wrong and it's full of nudity?

srsly I've seen Clerks 2 and this and I don't understand why people think he's so great.

And Zad, there's a ton of nudity in it, including a few full frontals and lots of video of people fucking...not for real, I don't think, but you know.

I was expecting it to be better because of the awesome cast, but I don't mean to give the impression that it was bad. there were a few REALLY funny parts and even the love story part wasn't bad. 7.5/10

Try Mallrats, Clerks or Chasing Amy. As much as I love Clerks 2, it just doesn't compare to his earlier stuff. Personally I love everything he has made, even Jersey Girl, and his An Evening with Kevin Smith DVD's are hysterical. In fact, I just got done watching the third one just 5 minutes ago, and it was hilarious. I haven't seen Zack and Miri, but I'm sure I'll love it, as I love his style of writing.

The Hottie and the Nottie

Not the cheap piece of trash that I had expected. The ending was very predictable, but overall it was well produced and well directed.

Also, it's funny how the supposedly ugly girl (Christina Lakin) is actually infinitely more beautiful than "hottie" Paris Hilton.

Badass. Considering all the martial arts weren't doctored, it's just insane.

Yeah I was actually thinking that it's really stupid that something like Zack and Miri could get an NC-17 rating (it was changed to R but still) when tons of movies have really graphic violence and no one bats an eye. IMO it's a lot worse for kids to be desensitized to violence than exposed to sex and nudity, especially when most kids pretty much know it all by age 14-15.

Oh, definately. Still, my eight-year old little brother uses words now that I'd never heard until I was at least fifteen. He seems alright, but it's a bit shocking, or at least I find it so.
