Hmmm, I mean the xbox is cheaper than the ps3 anyway, so paying for live isn't so bad. Here an 80gb PS3 is $699, a 60gb 360 is $399 and a 360 Elite is $549.... hmmmm

I wouldn't bother with the elite, it's basically just a larger hard drive, and nobody really needs that much space.

There's a promo at the moment at one shop where the $549 includes Lego Indiana Jones, Kung-Fu Panda, Mass Effect and Halo 3....I do want two of those games, guess which ones :lol:

Oh, well then it might just be worth it ;) Mass Effect is an amazing game, and Halo 3 is hundreds of hours of multi player fun. Don't know about the other two games, rofl.

My friend has one and the online is horrilbe. lag lag lag. Plus not nearly as many people online. Paying for X-Box live, is paying for quality. And the failure rate of the 360 has really dropped, the number of RRoD's has really been down lately. Plus Gears of War 2 is reason alone to buy a 360. Now the PS3 has some really good games, like Resistence 2 and the upcoming Killzone 2 looks awesome. Plus Warhawk is pure fun. But IMO the exclusives for the 360 are better. Mass Effect (yeah pc i know), Halo 3, GoW 1 and 2, Fable 2, Left 4 Dead, GTA 4 downloadable content, oh and it doesnt have any games that are against the quaran. But no matter what system you get, make sure to get: CoD4. You will always have fun with that game, no matter which system.

You all suck. Don't bother with consoles, just get a decent PC and you can listen to music, play online, write letters to people etc too! X-Boxs and PS3s are balls compared to the simple joy of say, mouse/keyboard FPSing.

Anyways, finally got C&C 3 working! Damnit, addicted already.

Whew! For a second there I thought a full-on console war was going to erupt like we were on the gametrailers.com forums

FTR, if you're really in the mood for multiplayer online games, get a 360 first. Left 4 Dead, Gears 2, Fable II, Castle Crashers are a few that come to mind, and that's just in the last couple months.

That said, you should eventually get a PS3 as well, cause you'll be missing out on good games like MGS4 and Resistance 2 if you don't get one.

well here in Canada a PS3 80GB is 399$ CAN
and an xbox 360 pro 60 GB 299$ CAN.
So you basically get a blu ray and wirless capability for 100$ CAN
more. Which is a bargain if those two features are important to you. To put things in perspective, a wireless adapter for the 360 cost you 99.99$ CAN.

bottom line it's all about your needs and how much you want to invest.

Joking aside I think the PS3 has exclusives as good as the 360
with titles like :

- Resistance 1,2
- Uncharted: Drake's Fortune
- Valkyria Chronicles
- Warhawk
- Metal Gear Solid 4
- Gran Turismo 5 Prologue
- Motor Storm

Just finished the japanese campaign on Red Alert 3. Great game, just like its predecessor. The C&C games are the only strategy games I ever bother to play to the end so I'm satisfied this met my expectations. The only thing that needs fixing is the poor pathfinding but that's nothing new to strategy games in general.

I'm listening to the OST right now. :dio:

On the spaceship in Crysis. Slightly disappointed at how easy it was to take the Korean general out; dancing around and shooting him in the head with my l'il ol'machine gun, the minigun is very easy to avoid. I tried again and could do it just with punches. Oh well. These aliens are pretty crap, too.
