Hah. Misha forcefully made me listen to Rossz and that was an amazing album. I have Meathole too but I haven't heard that one yet. Will check this one out then.

I reccomend "My Downfall (Original Soundtrack)" in the lines of Rossz.
This one is also a fine album.

I have the Rossz album as well. Very good. It's kind of tough to take every release seriously, though, when he puts out so much stuff. But this may be worth a look.

I must say, this is holding up very well indeed. -5 points for the last track, sadly.

As heavy as the Heavy Metal that we listen to can be, it’s pretty undisputable that the actual heaviest music out there comes from the Noise scene, where artists such as Merzbow regularly release albums that will crush the soul and ears of most Metalheads that dare listen.

Does this not confuse "loud noises that are a pain in the arse to listen to" with "heavy"?

Venetian Snares are great, and undoubtedly have a very "heavy" sound at times, but I would put them in a totally utterly different category to Merzbow.

Anyway, the avant-garde jazz scene (Brotzmann, Zorn, Pharoah Sanders etc.) is a ton heavier than the avant-garde noise scene, because they do it on their own without all this electronic bollox to help them :P

Well, yeah, it depends on your interpretation of 'heavy'... you got what I meant, anyways.
