Halo? Halo 2? Halo 3?

It is one of the most overrated game series ever. But it also one of the most overratedely hated games ever.

The first one, I think. I generally can see what makes older games good, but this was just dull. Maybe if I played it before Crysis I'd be impressed. Are 2 and 3 significant improvements?

I think Halo 2 is the best one of the 3. When I was in high school on my spare I brought a tv to school, me and 7 other friends (second tv, xbox and link cable) played Halo 2 all spare and during our lunch break. That was some of the most fun I have ever had playing games.

Halo 2's definitely the best IMO. Halo 3 was too much of the same. But yeah Zad, if you had played Halo when it came out you definitely would be able to appreciate it more. The control scheme was something totally new (at least to me) and overall it was just way above anything that ever been made for console gaming in terms of FPS. I don't blame you for not liking it now though, I can't even play Halo 3 now after having played COD4.

Oh yeah I remember when the first Halo came out. It was groundbreaking system seller. The X-Box version of Goldeneye. I can still play Halo 3 every once in a while, but I agree with you that CoD4 redifined fps shooters for me.

Also I have been playing a lot of CoD:WaW online, and I just can't seem to get it going like I could on CoD4. I think there is 2 reasons as to why I am not as good. 1. I am not investing the hours into it like I did for CoD4. 2. The levels are so damn big. Too big, especially the Outskirts level. That level is huge. I wandered around for a good 3 to 5 minutes looking for somebody. Then the ultimate pisser is when I finally found a guy he killed me before I could pull my gun up.

Personally, that's why I prefer CODWaW because the levels are large and detailed, and so levelling up the sniping weapons is actually possible in this COD, while in 3 the small levels meant that camping is difficult and if someone saw you from the other end of the map they could just sjhoot you with any automatic and you're dead. Also WaW has the badass factor that comes with having Keifer Sutherland for the voice acting.

I understand what you saying here, but since the levels are so big and the fact that I am not playing the game as much as I did CoD4, I am not learning the levels like I did for CoD4. So I can't find the real good sniping spots, and even if I do somebody else is already there and they kill me before I can them. I'm sure I will gete past this eventually, I just need to be patient. I wasn't good at CoD4 in my first few weeks of owning it.

Well yeah obviously, new maps always need a bit of getting used to, but after a while you get used to it. That being said, the worst level is definitely Downfall, as there is so much unused space.

Too bad you are a PS3 user, too bad...

Oh and which one is Downfall? I can't remember off the top of my head.

Finished Valkyria Chronicles after 43 hours of play. It was a long journey, but an awsome one it was!

Now time to move on to another game, which most likely will be Uncharted: Drakes Fortune.

Replayed Bioshock a little. <3 Probably my favorite game ever.

Also been playing COD4. Sometimes it seems like I do well consistently (which for me is more kills than deaths) and others it seems like I just suck.

That's always the way. I start off slow for like a round or 3. Then I do good getting more kills than deaths, for usually 5 or 6 rounds in a row. Sometimes I do the best in a match, my best game so far is 35 and 5. But I did have a 30 and 3 match. Anyway, as soon as I start to do bad again (more deaths than kills) I know it's time for bed.

Just managed 62-10, which I was fairly pleased with. Could've gotten more without all the grenade launching assholes bugging me.

Yes but you play on the computer, we are talking consoles here. A 62 and 10 score on team deathmatch on either the X-Box 360 or PS3 would almost be impossible.

Still, 62 and 10 is amazing.

Dad just died. Pretty miffed about it. Already had a rather foreboding sense when the choppers dropped in.

The Enclave will pay, of course.

SEGA has definitely have outdone themselves, that's for sure, but I'm not too sure how I feel about a sequel for Valkyria. They'd have to come with fresh ideas and not just another repetition by using simply a third war...

SEGA's next RPG might be a sequel to the Dreamcast/Gamecube Skies of Arcadia. They have inserted two of it's major characters as playable characters in Valkyria Chronicles and their profils show some hints of what's to come.
