You should've put down that overrated Gears of War 2 game sooner

I don't own any copy of overrated Gears of War 2. I do however own a very fun and pretty challenging copy of GOTY contending Gears of War 2. and just for the record i've logged more hours on Fallout than Gears 2... :P

Picked up GRAW 2 today for a nice price, also downloaded all the extra content on live for it. So does anyone else have it?

Fallout 3 didn't surprise me as much as Oblivion did...
A good game still...

Finished Valkyria Chronicles after 43 hours of play. It was a long journey, but an awsome one it was!

Now time to move on to another game, which most likely will be Uncharted: Drakes Fortune.

I've been playing Valkyria Chronicles myself, im on chapter 9 and so far im loving this game i think sega really nailed this one, i hope they release a sequel.

SEGA has definitely have outdone themselves, that's for sure, but I'm not too sure how I feel about a sequel for Valkyria. They'd have to come with fresh ideas and not just another repetition by using simply a third war...

SEGA's next RPG might be a sequel to the Dreamcast/Gamecube Skies of Arcadia. They have inserted two of it's major characters as playable characters in Valkyria Chronicles and their profils show some hints of what's to come.

I've been looking at getting Valkyria Chronicles for a bit now, I'm glad it's good.

And a sequel to Skies of Arcadia would be amazing. I loved that game.

That would be fucking awesome. I seem to recall that they announced they were working on one years ago, and then never mentioned it again.

Best RPG ever? i think yes.

My vote would go to Secret of Mana, but that's just me :P
Frig, Chrono Trigger is so good.
I never got around to playing Secret of Mana, almost the other day though actually haha.
But I've played Heroes of Mana? Is that semi-related?

Heroes of Mana is from the same family of games, but doesn't really compare to its SNES ancestors.

You can play Secret Of Mana on the Wii Virtual Console now. Otherwise, may be try it on an emulator like ZSNES if you're curious. It's a really fun game, although I ultimately like Zelda better (more secrets and not as linear).

Anyway, speaking of RPG's, I made a surprise purchase today: Y's Books 1 and 2 on the Wii Virtual Console. Anybody played this? I'm especially interested in knowing how those anime cutscenes and voice overs are (since those were probably firsts in a video game at the time).

By the way, did anybody else here used to be a fan of classic shareware games in the 90's? Duke Nukem, Commander Keen, Jill Of The Jungle (my personal favorite of the pre-Doom shareware era), and more fleshed-out ones like Doom and Wolfenstein 3D. Those games rocked back in the day and they still rock even now. And they're probably what kept PC games going in the wake of console systems like the SNES and Sega Genesis.

Yeah. I remember having one of those packs with 20 disks containing around 500 shareware games. Good times. My favourites were the text-based games. I only understood half of what was going on, but they helped develop my language skills at an early age.

Yeah, they were fun. Kinda pointless now when up against the likes of Crysis, mind.

You should play more FPS. I've never played Crysis, but as far as I know it's not really considered among the ranks of "Best FPS" so if you liked it that much you might like some other stuff like Call of Duty or Bioshock even more.

I'm only level 8, maybe 9. It's been a while since I played, just been too damn busy.

You can get CoD1 with the expansion for five quid or something now, I suggest you treat yourself to that.

Bioshock isn't that great. It has amazing atmosphere, but it fails both as a shooter and RPG.

Deus Ex is definitely the ultimate merging of the two.
