Well, you can crowbar your way through the game without much trouble. You can't die, so you can do whatever the hell you want without any real consequences. Everything else is kind of sucky, the looting is annoying as fuck, the hacking sucks and everything is depending on your own imagination.

:(

I'll just say that you can definitely die. Happened to me many a time...other than that, you're entitled to your opinion. Just don't let this dissuade you from playing it Zad, since it's my favorite game ever and most review sites and things loved it.

Bioshock is amazing. I died lots. The crowbar is awesome. The hacking isn't that bad. In other words, WRONG.

Yeah, you die and instantly respawn. The only consequence of death is that you have to run back to your previous location.

So you play games to die?

That's weird. I play games to have fun. Bioshock delivers lots of fun. We are 2 very different people.

Bioshock pisses me off with the 'buy the game then wait three days for it to download' thing. Sorry, no can do.

Yes, we are very different people.

Bioshock is a fun little game with very little story, good atmosphere and a fancy little twist at the end. I've played way too many games to be impressed by this, and a plot twist at the end doesn't make a good story.

Sure, I used to have fun with easy games that don't require more than button-mashing to get through. But nowadays that just doesn't do it for me. When I started playing Bioshock I chose the hardest difficulty, and still got very little satisfaction out of the game. There's just no point in playing a game that doesn't challenge you. If I can't die in an FPS, I don't think there's any point in playing it.

I'll agree that there is fun stuff to do in it, like combining your powers with the environment and whatnot, but is it as good as the critics say? No smegging way. Is it worth buying? Not at retail price.

Oh, and I just have to mention the good/evil system, lulz. Either you choose to kill kids and recieve a reward instantly, or not kill kids and recieve a bigger reward seconds later. Wow, those are some deep moral choices. The whole game is kind of like the good/evil system. It seems good at first glance, but it's all very shallow and pointless and only meaningful if you use your imagination.

GTA IV for the PC is a failure... I don't think I am going to buy it after all.

Ys Book I and II is a really cool game. It reminds me a little of those old MS DOS RPG's of the late-80's like Ultima IV. The soundtrack rocks (I think it was among the first to use redbook audio streamed off the CD) and the battle system, while a little odd, is actually quite addictive.

Highly recommend some of you download it if you're looking for a nice twist on the old-school Zelda formula and can live with 8-bit graphics.

Just wait till they patch the shit out of it, which they will.

Kind of ridiculous that the PC version comes out almost 8 months after the console versions and they still have that many bugs.

It's got insanely high specs. Only super high end machines will be able to run the game on high settings. The graphic engine sucks and that is the main problem about it.

Not good news. Been looking forward to that, been playing GTA Vice City. But then everything from GTA 3 onwards has been buggy as hell for the pc, no? Took me a while to get VC working. The PC games industry doesn't have the support it did five years ago... :(

On the contrary, the internet has made support much easier so they can push games out at an economically viable date without them actually being polished. Problems? Well, we'll make a patch for that.

Played Halo for the first time last night. Don't see what all the fuss is about...

Halo? Halo 2? Halo 3?

It is one of the most overrated game series ever. But it also one of the most overratedely hated games ever.

The first one, I think. I generally can see what makes older games good, but this was just dull. Maybe if I played it before Crysis I'd be impressed. Are 2 and 3 significant improvements?

I think Halo 2 is the best one of the 3. When I was in high school on my spare I brought a tv to school, me and 7 other friends (second tv, xbox and link cable) played Halo 2 all spare and during our lunch break. That was some of the most fun I have ever had playing games.

Halo 2's definitely the best IMO. Halo 3 was too much of the same. But yeah Zad, if you had played Halo when it came out you definitely would be able to appreciate it more. The control scheme was something totally new (at least to me) and overall it was just way above anything that ever been made for console gaming in terms of FPS. I don't blame you for not liking it now though, I can't even play Halo 3 now after having played COD4.

Oh yeah I remember when the first Halo came out. It was groundbreaking system seller. The X-Box version of Goldeneye. I can still play Halo 3 every once in a while, but I agree with you that CoD4 redifined fps shooters for me.

Also I have been playing a lot of CoD:WaW online, and I just can't seem to get it going like I could on CoD4. I think there is 2 reasons as to why I am not as good. 1. I am not investing the hours into it like I did for CoD4. 2. The levels are so damn big. Too big, especially the Outskirts level. That level is huge. I wandered around for a good 3 to 5 minutes looking for somebody. Then the ultimate pisser is when I finally found a guy he killed me before I could pull my gun up.

Personally, that's why I prefer CODWaW because the levels are large and detailed, and so levelling up the sniping weapons is actually possible in this COD, while in 3 the small levels meant that camping is difficult and if someone saw you from the other end of the map they could just sjhoot you with any automatic and you're dead. Also WaW has the badass factor that comes with having Keifer Sutherland for the voice acting.

I understand what you saying here, but since the levels are so big and the fact that I am not playing the game as much as I did CoD4, I am not learning the levels like I did for CoD4. So I can't find the real good sniping spots, and even if I do somebody else is already there and they kill me before I can them. I'm sure I will gete past this eventually, I just need to be patient. I wasn't good at CoD4 in my first few weeks of owning it.

Well yeah obviously, new maps always need a bit of getting used to, but after a while you get used to it. That being said, the worst level is definitely Downfall, as there is so much unused space.

Too bad you are a PS3 user, too bad...

Oh and which one is Downfall? I can't remember off the top of my head.

The one with the Reichstag.

And don't start another console war, I'm still fucking annoyed that Fable II is X Box exclusive. And don't kid yourself, the only reason X-box is more popular is that it can be chipped, otherwise no one would buy a console with inferior hardware which is prone to meltdown.

All it's really done has dumped responsibility onto the fans, rather than making the companies deal with it as they should. Games should work properly when they're released; we shouldn't have to wait a month or so until everything's patched up. It's great that the online scene is so big; but it's not the ideal situation.

Finished Valkyria Chronicles after 43 hours of play. It was a long journey, but an awsome one it was!

Now time to move on to another game, which most likely will be Uncharted: Drakes Fortune.

I've heard Valkyria Chronicles is similar to the awesome Hogs of War on PS1. Is that true?

Er aren't you just adding fuel to the fire by taking a pop at the 360 there?

No console war. The PS3 comment was a joke.
