my cousins got Buzz! for xmas and it's awesome. finally something to stop the rest of the family from complaining that "only the kids hang around the playstation".

I liked the first one the best. It reminded me the most of Baldur's Gate. The second one has a really strange interface and combat system, but it's good.

I got quite a few games for Christmas, actually. I definitely won't need to buy any more for the time being:

Prince Of Persia: The Sands Of Time (for PS2)
Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell (for X-Box)
Icewind Dale: The Ultimate Collection (for PC)
The Legend Of Zelda: The Twilight Princess (for Wii)

And I bought Donkey Kong Country 2 from the Wii VC. Man, I can't believe how much fun this game is even after 13 years. It, along with Super Mario RPG, are easily my two favorite VC games right now.

The Gears of War games are easily the best there is on Xbox 360. Silver medal goes to Mass Effect. If you're a space nut and like roleplaying games then it's a safe bet.

i loved Sands of Time for the gamecube, great game. never played Twilight Princess but if any series stands for quality it's Zelda.

I got LittleBigPlanet and Fallout 3 for Christmas. Should be pimp...LittleBigPlanet is absolutely unlike anything that's been made thus far. However I'm gonna finish Oblivion before I start these games.

Bought Mass Effect, Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind and Dreamfall: The Longest Journey today. Hopefully the DRM on the first will work, and the last won't need any Vista patching. Any thoughts, PC gamers?

It's an odd set of purchases, actually, me being the FPSer I am. Still, heard such good things about all three, couldn't resist (£35 in total!)

Mass Effect is a great game, excellent one if you have patience and take the time to read about the world, the creatures and get involved in everything that's going on. I really liked the story and companions throughout the game.

I shut it off and let it cool down, it seemed to be fine. But I shall try it later and see. It it still screws up then I have to call Micro$oft tomorrow and get my xbox casket... :sad:
