From Dusk Till Dawn

The only thing I found wrong with this was that it was basically two films put into one feature, so it lacked consistency. Other than that, it succeeded with what it was trying to do with flying colours: provide a fun and over the top action/horror flick.

Eagle Eye.

It was fairly entertaining. I tried not to think about how unrealistic it actually was.

6.5/10

I think The Fountain is a lot like Donnie Darko in that it's pretty fun and entertaining to watch and makes you think a lot, but in the end is just basically bullshit. That being said, both are good movies...

imo The Fountain is about dealing with loss. the present day story is the "real" one, the one in the past is a metaphor saying that searching for the tree of life to cure Rachel Weisz will just be a waste, and the one in the future is when he's nearly over it. or maybe the future is him trying to keep her alive until he reaches his goal.

i'm gonna watch that movie again tonight

It was pretentious bollocks that failed utterly at being entertaining, is what it was.

*ducks*

OK, it wasn't dreadful. But it wasn't that good, either.

the only way it could fail at being entertaining is if you have no soul and feel no pleasure or pain or desire or attachment.

Rocknrolla - quite good actually. usual guy ritchie, not as good as LS&2SB or Snatch, but worth watching if you're a fan of those. he's a very one-trick pony though, that has to be said.

Holy shit that actually makes sense and doesn't sound like complete bullshit like every other explanation I've heard. It was beautiful but I just couldn't understand the relation between the three.

That's what I got out of The Fountain. The future part was my favorite, though, and I think he finally comes to terms with the loss. The part when he flies into Xibalba was fucking beautiful.

Rocknrolla, not as good as Snatch but a lot better than Mr. Ritchie's recent productions...

Global Metal - shouldnt this be called Asia metal? that is where 90% of the movie takes place. But it was still enjoyable. I want to visit Japan so baaaad....

Righteous Kill - after 88 Minutes sucking large penis, I was scared for this movie. But it was good, I recommend it.

The Usual Suspects.
Meh. The twisty twist could have been figured out by a twelve year old before the movie even started. From start to finish it was a so-so movie but with such an anticlimax ending I can't help but to feel disappointed. You can't put so much emphasis on the twist and not make it spectacular.

Really? It's much more spectacular than, say, The Sixth Sense's, which is a real bore. They do try and hammer how ASTONISHING the twist is, though - dropped coffee cup! smash! epic music! run FAILingly to the door looking! I suppose it's better than average, although not as good as people make it out to be, although I must admit that I never saw it coming. Did watch it friggin' years ago for the first time, admittedly.

Now, Se7en had a kickass twist. From the whole 'here I am lol' part onwards, it just becomes a rollercoaster of awesome.
