Great album... although yes, much better albums such as TCW or Accident at Birth... or my personal favorite, Tattooed Millionaire.

Nice album though it's Bruce's worst solo album.

It's allright, considering it's Bruce Dickinson doing a Pink Floyd impersonation. It's certainly not a metal album though, far too laid back. If you're looking for the more recognizable maiden Bruce, the The Chemical Wedding, Accident of Birth, and Tyranny of Souls are more in that vein. This album has Tears of the Dragon though, and that's one of Bruce Bruce's best songs.

So, clearly, either Eternal Idol thinks of a different album or he's deaf!

Ever listen to the mid-80's PF albums without Roger Waters? the Division Bell, A Momentary Lapse of Reason? I can tell he was digging on that kind of stuff at the time he made this album.

No no no!!!

Grunge or alternative metal impersonation, I would agree but this has nothing to do with Pink Floyd.

I hear more Alice In Chains or Soundgarden than Pink Floyd in this album.

I don't think it's his worst work, I prefer it to Tattooed Millionaire and is tied with Tyranny of souls, but it's clearly inferior to Balls to Picasso, Accident of birth and that masterpiece that is The Chemical Wedding.

I feel that Bruce was definitely attempting to inject a contemporary 90's sound into his music on Skunkworks. You could make comparisons to AIC or Soundgarden I guess. The guitars have a more tinty single coil strat tone that was more indicative of the guitar tones of the 90's. I would not call it his worst album nor would I refer to as a disappointment. I'm happy that Bruce wasn't afraid to attempt different approaches to songwriting and overall sound/tone. It was certainly a departure that I enjoyed and still do.

I´m just so happy bruce mad this album intrested in scifi an alternative stuff as he is. This is his cryout away from maiden and his really trying out the extents of his voice in this one. Also I think he has done problably one of his best lyrics ever to this one fitting the music like a glove. I rate this a masterpiece along with AOB.
