Wow, nobody has a heart at MR.
Wall-E was one of the best movies of the year.
Exactly. That little fella was so damn cute! And when EVE shut down and he thought she was ignoring him but carried on looking after her anyways... heartbreaking.
No you see, It's Wall-E that does not have a heart.
You seriously didn't like Wall-E because he was a robot as opposed to a fluffy bunny? Serious WTFage.
I find it a little disturbing that the moviemakers are trying so hard to get the audience attatched to a pice of metal, an object, yeah. It sort of reflects our society in a way, although if this is intended or not I can't really say. Most people just find Wall-E cute without thinking further about it.
It wasn't Wall-E that reflected our society in the movie, it was pretty much everything else. From the Buy N Large ultrastores reminiscent of today's METRO stores or whatever you have in your country, to the mass consumerism and pollution/waste disposal problems. And lets not forget the possibility of the human race becoming just like in the movie one day - sitting in a chair all day and doing nothing. People are getting fatter, spending less time on sports and nowadays you can buy everything online. I think the creators of Wall-E did a great job portraying a possible future for humanity.
Oh and Wall-E is sooo cute. He may be a robot but he acted just like a 12 year old kid. I hope it wins an Oscar. Bolt and Kung Fu Panda were also good but too typical Disney-type movies.
Yeah all those messages were loud and clear, I just don't find it all that spectacular. Or rather, not as good as the majority seem to think it was. It was entertaining but when the credits rolled by I was not exactly wowed by it.
Robots are cool and all but still just mechanical inventions, not organic beings. If I were religious I'd say robots does not, and never will, have a soul. Including Arnold Schwarzenegger.
