Raging Bull - Why oh why did I put this one off so long? What a brilliant movie. And DeNiro's performance has to be one of the best I've ever seen... EVER. 10/10.

One of my favorite movies. Totally agree.

Also, Slumdog Millionaire wasn't that good.

Fail. Although I agree about The Dark Knight.

I saw Vitus...

So damn good! One of the best foreign-language films I've ever seen. I'm seriously gonna get some classical piano music because of this movie. It did seem a hell of a lot longer than two hours...not sure why or if that's even a bad thing. But anyways actually one of the best movies I've ever seen.

saw Pulp Fiction last night. yes finally. it's good but it really drags on towards the end. well worth watching, though. nice soundtrack too.

I had problems staying with the film around the dungeon scene with the gimp. I loved the diner scene at the end. "Go in that bag and get my wallet...the one that says Bad Montherfucker on it." Priceless.

actually it's the last scene that i couldn't stand, save for the "bad motherfucker" part (like you said, priceless). other than that it just dragged on and on.... although i guess it didn't help that it was like 3 am when i got to that scene.

Finally saw Memento. What an awesome, mindfucking movie. I definitely need to watch it again to catch many clues and things I'm sure I missed the first time.

That is one of my all time favorite movies. So good.

And yes Memento is amazing too.

Vitus was cool. i wish i could be a piano prodigy and in my spare time save my parents from bankruptcy on the stock exchange.

In Search of a Midnight Kiss - good indie movie about a guy who meets mildly crazy girl via internets on new year's eve. it reminded me a lot of Clerks and the main character mentions working at a video store (and that scene is shown in black and white) so i'm guessing that's a Clerks reference. very funny and i got all choked up at the end

I approve of these posts.

Australia - 7/10. Not bad for a Hollywood epic. Worth watching.

Bought The Devil's Rejects and The Hills have Eyes Uncut edition (2006) today from JB Hi-Fi whilst in Sydney. Thought I'd pick them up because they were cheap and I couldn't find them anywhere here in Bathurst. So, got back home, opened up Devil's Rejects to watch it, and there was no fucking disc! Rang the fuckers up and after a bit of arguing they're gonna send me a new copy to my doorstep. They wanted me to drop in and pick another one up. Three hour drive peoples, not a chance.

So I watched The Hills Have Eyes. I haven't seen the original, but I hear that this is considered one of the better horror remakes. Personally, I found it pretty damn good. Nice atmosphere, brutal no-holds barred violence and gore, and the characters weren't typical teenage dumbasses that populate most modern horrors.

8/10

The Forbidden Kingdom - As much as I love me some simple kung-fu fun with Jackie Chan, this was just bad.

Semi-Pro - I like Will Ferrel, but this sucked.

Across the Universe - A Beatles-musical that was much much better than I expected. Good singers, and fun versions of the various classic beatles songs. Good movie all in all..

Was going to watch Tropic Thunder too, but didn't have time.

Lucky Number Slevin: surprisingly good if you consider the bad title and Josh Hartnett as leading role.

Anyone seen Doubt? The trailer made it look like the biggest piece of trash ever.

Also if Meryl Streep wins I will set myself on fire. Fucking hate her.

I saw it and really enjoyed it. I'd give it to her because her performance is undeniably a good one.

The Wrestler - I literally took a shower after watching this movie. I felt sticky and dirty watching it. Not a good movie to take the family to, but the acting is top notch. I'll give the acting a 9/10 and the movie a 6/10 just because I felt they went a little over the top with the sleaze factor. Then again, I think that was their point.

Pineapple Express last night. Surprisingly hilarious, maybe it's the Cheech n'Chong fan in me. "I'm a process server" "A... a servant?"

I really wanna see that movie! And I too think Nolan is a fucking genious (he's one of my favourite movie-makers just because of The Prestige).

EDIT: Saw 24: Redemption yesterday... not that good. It felt a little rushed.

Saw "Valkyre" the other day, and "Zack and Miri make a porno" yesterday.

I'm not a big fan of war movies, especially not WWII movies. But I got coaxed into going to "Valkyre", and what can I say, it's an alright movie, quite suspenseful even though I know the history behind it, so it was no surprise how it ended.

"Zack and miri.." - haha, that movie was hilarious. Just stupid entertainment, and porn.

.:crast:.
