I don't like the controls for RE5...

I thought they were similar to RE4? Actually, if you go to the control options, one of the setups you can change to is an exact re-creation of RE4 controls.

Once I figured out that you could press down the left stick to run (ala COD4 or Far Cry 2) and use the D-pad for inventory and weapon changes on the fly, the controls stopped bothering me. I think its going to be an awesome game with some cool multiplayer.

Oh from what I can tell they are the same.

I will see if I can tweak the controls a bit, but I don't like having to stop to be able to aim/shoot.

Oh, I won Lord Stanleys Cup the other night.

finally got round to playing CoD4 and so far i'm loving it. i'm playing the price/macmilan level.

can't wait to take it online.

Crytek bought Free Radical, which means TimeSplitters 4 may still happen! It's like christmas but way better.

just tried it for the first time. quite fun but i can't stand fuckign campers and helicopters. are there servers w/o choppers? i know it's something you earn but it makes the game near-unplayable at times.

we gotta play one day.



bah, this means only people with the gaming equivalent of the cray supercomputer will be able to play it.

You call choppers when you get 3-5-7 consecutive kills. So you gotta live with them, or take them down...

There are servers without choppers, but they're hard to find. I've come across a couple of servers that limit the number of kills a chopper can bag you before it heads off again, other servers mod the helicopters to be very weak so you can destroy them with a single mag. All in all, it's best to stay inside if you know there's a chopper coming, and since you're new, you can feel reasonably safe 'cause choppers usually go for the top scorers first

lol, i liked the free-for-all maps, it looked like there were less campers.

i'm still too used to the enemy territory style.

also, this is nt a gaming question, but still..
windows explorer "stops working" for no apparent reason every now and then, same for Opera and Internet Explorer. the message "this was caused by LAME mp3 codec" or something appeared, so i uninstalled the AcE mega codecs pack that came with that... and everything was removed except for the LAME codec. i tried deleting it manually but the piece of shit is saying that i need authorization. I'M THE FUCKING ADMINISTRATOR! i'm using vista btw. any suggestions?

Are you on the primary, main account in Vista? Might need to right-click on it and see if there's a 'run as admin' thing, sometimes doing that first makes things ok.

Not my problem. It should come out on consoles, I don't play on my computer.

...And since consoles are usually outdated about a year or two vis-à-vis the computers of their age, there's not a thing to worry about

Can you add friends on CoD4?

Been playing some Mirror's Edge on the PC with a 360-controller. It's a very mixed experience. Sometimes it's really fun, and sometimes just frustrating. Feels like I'm being chased ALL the frekkin time, which gets quite old level after level.

I've been playing my 360 for 2 years and don't feel outdated.

But all in all, I just really want TimeSplitters 4 to come out.

Not in the pc version in any case.
