As if the annual circus trip wasn't enough, some ass with NHL scheduling thought it would be nice to have the Hawks go on an eight game roadie. I guess I shouldn't complain since their halfway through with a 3-1 record, but still.

Eh, they can handle it. Especially with those 2 kids they've got. Isn't Toews the captain now???

Fucking Vancouver shit.. We totally deserved that win :P

THat interference call on Chad LaRose was fucking bullshit, and getting a shorthanded goal against is the worst way to lose. It's a pity we're not showing up in the first. Else we might have gotten it.

Next up: The Shark Tank.

We're gonna get eaten.

Losing Bouwmeester now wouldn't be as catastrophic as it would've been before last season b/c we traded Jokinen for Ballard and Boynton. Our defense is solid, but you don't just trade away the leading scorer, captain, and face of the franchise like that.

I think we'll keep JBo. We have plenty of money to hand out (I know this because my friends father owns the team)

What we need is a young, flat out goal scorer. I think we have one in the making in Michael Frolik.

Yes but does JBo want to stay there?

He's been offered several deals, but rumor has it he does not want to play there anymore. And Burkey will overpay for Mr. Bo.

Permission to be cocky please...

We just beat the Sharks after an amazing comeback, with Leighton in goal and Staal out for the entire third with an injury. In additiion to that we called up three AHL-players who did an amazing job.

God I'm so happy right now. And fuck. It's eight in the morning.

Yeah, they made him captain before the season.

The real hero of this season so far has been Khabibulin. I was ready for them to ship his ass after last year, but now between him and Huet the Hawks might have the best goaltending in the league.

Did anyone see the Zednik goal for the Panthers against NYI??? It was insane!!! I'm a rugby player but I am a pretty good skater. It's so hard to maintain balance and score that goal while hurtling a defensman like that.

Plus to get around Brandon Witt like that is no easy task. Zedniks goal is Goal of the Year candidate.

Did you see Hagmans goal though against the Panthers on Tuesday? Now that was brilliance.

Yeah but I don't want to remember that one. Mostly because Pierre liked it so much, I can't stand him.

Pierre likes 17 to 19 year old canadian boys too much.

He also has nicknames for them, like monster. It's just too weird.

Start of the 3rd, and the reffing in this montreal/toronto game has been absolutely retarded. It seems like every time one player touches another a penalty is called; and those 10 minutes handed out for misconduct? Come on...

Otherwise a pretty boring game due to good goaltending. In the 1st, Toronto dominated, but Price played amazingly. In the 2nd, Montreal dominated, but Toskola also played amazingly. Maybe we'll actually get some competitive hockey in this 3rd.

Edit: fuuuck, Toronto just scored. Come on Habs, we can't lose this one; we're coming dangerously close to those 9th place teams.

I don't know whats up with the Habs lately, but before this streak of losses they were on par to finish around the same as last year (104 points) possibly even a little better. Personally I think they will finishwith around 93 points +/- a few. And with points like that it will be a close 7/8/9 place finish. I hope they can prove me wrong though. Really as long as they make the playoffs I am happy, as anything can happen so long as you're in.

Luke Schenn!!!!!

The future captain of the Leafs scores his first ever NHL against the Habs, beautiful!

I missed the game though, because I was too busy watching John Tavares and his London Knights take on my Barrie Colts.

I said John Tavares.

He was like 20 feet away from me.

PHEW!

After a horrible first period, our Canes were out slaughtering puppies tonight. Four powerplay goals, Samsonov had his first 4-pointer in eight years, ruutu had three points, Staal had one amazing goal, and so had the underrated Patrick Eaves. Cam was solid as always, and had some insane saves.

After struggling with goal-scoring, we've really teared it up during this roadtrip. 4 of 6 points against the canucks, sharks and coyotes is very impressive by the Canes' standards, as most of us were hoping for 2-3 maybe.

The new dude, Jokinen, good and got a point. Our AHL-ers were solid, and Anton Babchuk (+3!) and Corvo was rock solid back there. All in all a great match, and I really hope we can carry the momentum home, and beat the Panthers when they come to visit.

As much as I hate to say it, We're looking like a completely different team without Brind 'Amour, the ceaptain. It's sad but true, but maybe he and the team needed a break from eachother.

He's so excited he forgot to re-read it for mistakes.

I wish I could get excited for my team again...

Yea walnut, I saw Hagman's goal. It was a great individual effort. I believe we have the Leafs in our house next week. Who are the Habs??? It must be a Canadian thing or something...
