Blood Diamond. Second time I watched it and still one of the best movies I've seen. Over two hours of pure awesomeness.

did anyone hear that "christian bale flip out" thing? some guy walked into a scene and he just goes crazy. i like Bale a lot mainly because he's like a seal of quality in movies (the worst he's done is probably reign of fire and it's still watchable), but he comes across as a real asshole.

Doesn't bode well for Terminator 4, as I think I said elsewhere. The director clearly had no power. Although I'm surprised that people are shocked by it - movie stars can be assholes? REALLY?

Not necessarily... a lot of creative types are arseholes. It sounds like some guy was putting him off on set, in which case the fact that he yelled at him probably means he's taking it seriously.

The thing that bodes worst for Terminator 4 is the fact that it's Terminator 4.

Videodrome was fucking wierd, I didn't get it at all. I should probably watch it again sober though.
But James Woods was very good.

Aw, really? Was looking forwards to that in a kind of 80s action way.
I'm in the same boat you are. People keep saying it isn't that good. I'm upset by it all.

Yeah, it was awful...there are a lot of parts that are laughably bad. He knocks out about 1354323462346 guys by karate chopping them in the neck.

Anyways, yesterday I saw...

Jet Li's Fearless--Best martial arts movie ever. At least I think so

his flip out was pretty crazy, but his apology was pretty much the best thing he could do as far as not seeming like an asshole.

Fearless is fun but a bit silly :)

Waltz With Bashir - have you heard about this movie Zad?
the animation style is pretty cool and the movie is quite interesting, but drags on toward the end with the final interview. the last scene is brutal, though.

Changeling. I literally feel exhausted after watching this. My God, I'm only 21 years old and probably no kids in the near future but I kept sitting there saying to myself "what if it was my son". Fantastic movie, it stirred up a lot of emotions and really moved me.

I've been sick. So i've watched movies.

Shawshank Redemption--so damn good. one of my favorite movies.

Dan in Real Life--Decent. Steve Carrell is good.

21--pretty entertaining. Kevin Spacey is a pimp.

And one other, I think. I can't remember now.

Fearless is a lot less silly than Crouching Tiger which is overrated in my opinion and I'm a huge martial arts movie fan.

Have you seen Karate Warriors? It's an awesome marital arts film in a low-budget 1970s sorta way. It has so much slow-motion Sonny Chiba. Which is great. It's on a DVD with Dragon Princess, which isn't as good, but gains points for having a topless dance/sex scene that is poorly edited in, appears to be from another movie and has absolutely no bearing on the plot. It feels like whoever made it, or brought it over to the states, watched it and said "Yeah...it's okay, but it could use some titties."
