Friday the 13th - hmm, anybody seen the Texas Chainsaw Massacre remake? this is not a hell of a lot different. this was ok but they could of changed it up a bit from TCM.

Harsh Times - christian bale pissed me off in this movie. but it was an ok movie i think
About Jason, were some of the deaths as cool as they appeared on the trailer?

About Harsh Times, Bale's performance in that was awesome. The scene where he's about to get his ass kicked after making out with that chick was awesome.

Jason - kills were cool. asian guy gets a screwdriver through his throat. black guy gets an axe in his spine. but the best one (maybe not best, but unexpected for sure) was the guy driving the boat and then he gets picked off by jason with his bow and arrow. headshot.

Harsh Times - i think that bale was good in it for sure, but he was also annoying. but he did do the part very well.

Finding Forrester - good movie although i think at the end he should have had like 30 novels written and stashed away rather than just one. beautiful shots of the Bronx were nice too.

The Dark Knight--SO GOOD! A lot of the stuff about the philosophical sides of the Joker and Two-Face were a lot more obvious to me this time around because I was looking for it. Maybe my favorite movie...

Outlander was good, then? I remember reading about that movie three or so years ago. The combo of Jesus and Vikings v. Aliens sounded awesome.

I think the last thing I watched was the Friday the 13th remake. S'alright. The sleeping bag kill was cool.

Halloween 2 - when compared to the first Halloween, its not so hot. but when you compare to the countless other shit slasher flicks, it is pure win. this is also the first time ive watched this movie in like 10 years, so it was kinda like watching it again for the first time.

best kills:
- drowning the nurse in the hot tub while her face melts
- hammer in the head of the security guard
- needle in the temple, air in the brain, to both the nurse and doctor

stupidest kills:
- when he jumps out of nowhere and kills the random chick, you dont even see what he did. just the blood splashes on her face, and where the hell was he hiding? was he crouching and she was too dumb to look down?
- puts the IV in the black chick doctor and she bleeds to death, since when does he know how to put an IV into somebody?

Yeah, Halloween 2 is solid. The hot tub kill was cool. As for the IV business, where does Michael Myers learn how to drive a car in the first movie? That's part of the appeal for me, I guess, the whole "force of nature" thing that he has going (which Rob Zombie subsequently ignores). It must also be convenient for those writing the movies because they don't have to worry about explaining anything.

Yeah the whole perfect driving thing was weird, but it wont keep me from liking these movies.

Michael Myers is my all time favourite move serial killer. Fuck Jason.

I read somewhere that the original Michael Myers made $25 a scene. Since there was 2 guys who played Michael, I doubt he made $100.

Switchblade Romance - Not bad, but the WOMFG twist was a bit silly, didn't really make sense, and ultimately spoilt it for me.

Agreed on the twist, but up until the ending it's an excellent film, one of the best of recent years. It's a shame they had to twat it up.

Iron Man - Downey Jr. was awesome. Ending was a little rushed.

El Mariachi - poor and Desperado - excellent. Might rewatch Once Upon A Time In Mexico later, if I have time.

Tropic Thunder: Not quite as amazing as everyone makes it out to be, but lolworthy nonetheless.

Fuck that film. I haven't seen it, but I bet it'll be typical crowdpleasing Hollywood shit. As for the Oscars, the only one I care about is Man On Wire, great that Petit won. Next time, Herzog.

And Kate Winslet got an oscar for a Holocaust film!

I'm could make a holocaust film with a $600 dollar video camera starring Dunstan and it'd win Oscars

It's actually kinda unhollywood, at least in terms of directing...it doesn't have that hollywood "sheen" on everything... still kinda crowdpleasing, its worth seeing though.

Slumdog Millionaire started out good, but tried to become an epic love story in the second act and ended up feeling really bland.
