Just watched Hugh Jackman singing at the Oscars. Whose fucking stupid idea was that? The man's got a worse voice than I have.

Sean Penn owned in Milk...sorry. If Mickey Rourke won, it would have felt so contrived.

He gave a fantastic performance in Milk and deserved the Oscar.
On the other hand, Rourke also gave a great performance but much close to what he actually is which makes it a little less impressive.

If anybody deserved to win, it was definitely Hugh Jackman. What a performance he put on last night.

He's had some poor films out, lately. Hope Milk's good when I finally get around to seeing it.

All the King's Men wasn't that bad... It had more substance than what's usually witnessed in American cinema.
The Interpreter isn't the best Sidney Pollack or the best Sean Penn but it was quite good too...

Really, the last bad movie featuring Sean Penn I can remember is It's All Bout Love (2003). I think the reason for this is that Penn doesn't shoot a lot and knows how to pick a good project. Something deNiro or Nicholson hardly ever did when they were his age...

Meh. ATKM was dull, dreadfully acted in places (Mark Ruffalo must have been on something!) and TI was very boring, SP had virtually nothing to do and Nicole Kidman has been in what, two good films her whole career?

21 Grams and Mystic River are very good though.

You opinion Goatty...

As for Kidman, I cannot even recall any of her performances... She's one of those actresses you can replace with another without anyone noticing...

But no one gets naked as easily as she does. Not as if there's much there anyways, looking anorexic like she does.

True, especially Mystic River. 21 Grams was so damn dreary...

Oh, and Jude Law was in All The Presidents Men too, and he's a massive talentless fuck who ruins every film he's ever been in, so there. You like Jude Law, Mr Son?

Nicole Kidman was excellent in To Die For. I suppose Dogville was ok, as well. Otherwise... not seen Eyes Wide Shut. Trapt, wtf are you on about? Apart from EWS, I don't think she's ever been naked, but prove me wrong.
