Eyes Wide Shut is among my favourite Kubrick-films. I'm guessing Kubrick's direction is the sole reason for Kidman's unusually great performance.

Yeah? I do like Kubrick, maybe I should watch it. Been sorta put off it previously due to the thought of Cruise and Kidman in the same film.

Eyes Wide Shut was pretentious bullshit. That movie sucked. Kubrick's worst.

Kidman was naked in Cold Mountain, Fur, Birth, Human Stain and Billy Bathgate. My friends and I discussed this a few years ago.

He was quite goof in Gattaca and A.I., can't say I remember much more of his performances.

I like his name though, and so should you! :P

And damn right you were... EWS is, imo, Kubrick's worst movie with Clockwork Orange.

This is what's so great about his films. Everyone sees different things in them, and everyone has their own favourites.

Clockwork Orange is great, Jude law was crap in A.I (everyone was crap in A.I) and Eyes Wide Shut is mediocre.

Indeed.

My favourites are Barry Lindon and Paths of Glory.

Had no clothes on naked or front-to-camera naked? I'm sure it was the former in Birth and Human Stain at least, didn't watch the others.

And a massive  for suggesting that I should like Jude Law for his name. Do you like Dawn French, Mr Son?

At least naked enough to see her tits. I didn't count the times she was naked but you couldn't see any private parts.

Oh and whoever said A Clockwork Orange sucks is a douchebag.

Oh and is Jude Law really that bad?

Well, as if I really care. Odd though, didn't think of her as a tit-flasher.

Good ol' discussions I had working at the movie store. It was cute how you try to act as if you're too good to wonder how often Kidman has been naked.

But Closer, eXistenZ and Enemy at the Gates weren't that bad?

Closer was dreadful. Wow. Enemy at HURRR gates was pretty poor, too. Joseph Fiennes is another one who does nothing but ruin otherwise perfectly average films.

Closer wasn't dreadful. I haven't seen Enemy in a while so it may not be as good as I remember it.

Fiennes generally blows.

Jude Law was in one scene in The Aviator. Only scene I don't like in the whole film.

And I'm calling you out Lucy. How does A Clockwork Orange suck?

Jude Law is not a very good actor IMO. He did fine in Cold Mountain but Enemy At The Gates (the story was exciting), The Holiday, Sleuth... he didn't do anything special in those movies.

BTW anyone wonder why actors like Freeman, Hackman, Clooney and Brosnan are considered so damn great!? They are grey, old farts who use the same god damn look on their faces throughout all the movies they're in. And when I hear such phrases as "Clooney is sexy" being thrown out in the wind... it makes me want to embrace actors like Jude Law.

I like Jude Law. I don't he's fantastic or anything (Clooney's a lot better), but Enemy at the Gates was good too :P I like Fiennes as well.

Don't throw Morgan Freeman and Gene Hackman in with those hacks! Hackman's a great actor, and so's Freeman though I admit he has poor taste in projects.

Gene Hackman was also great in the Brazillian World Cup squad of 2002, but not so good in Chelsea 08/09.

Hmm, well I agree a bit about Freeman. He can be tolerable sometimes if he appears in good movies. But I've lost all my respect towards Hackman after seeing The Firm and The Royal Tenenbaums. He did ok in Crimson Tide and Behind Enemy Lines though... IMO. :) I don't know, it's something about the looks on their faces. It doesn't seem "real" even though it tries to be. Especially Hackman has this slimy look on his face that gets tiresome real quick. And don't even get me started about dorks like DeNiro. :D

EDIT: that last one "Righteous Kill" was pretty shit. DeNiro and Pacino are both hanging with one foot in the grave, yet they try to be as "young" and as "slimy" as possible (for lack of better words)

EDIT: And it just comes off as stupid
