Dan is so hardcore about pokemon, it's ridiculous.
He has a gameshark thingy.
And he's all about breeding pokemon.
So basically, I tell him what my ultimate team would be, and he can create it.

sweet.

That's not hardcore Pokémon, hardcore is spend hours/days/weeks breeding and level raising them all by hand.

It's an expensive gadget you use to cheat in games.

Cara, just for giggles you can storm out of your boyfriend's place yelling "You cheating bastard!". That ought to be fun.

Gamesharks are for losers who can't play a game the way it was meant to be played because it's "too hard" or some dumb shit. Cheating takes all the fun out of games.

admittedly i had to use an Action Replay (kind of like a gameshark) to finish Goldeneye on the n64. before you say anything, i played two brothers who finished the game on 00 agent difficulty and completely destroyed them

Bought Tomb Raider Underworld and Silent Hill Homecoming for PS3. Almost done TR, definately one of the better games in the series but its a lil buggy which puts it behind Legend in awesomeness. Havent tried SH yet, can't wait.

Cool. Let me know how that SH is. I've been wanting to get it, but the shitty reviews are giving me a bit of pause.

I held off at first too, but I got it for 39.99 which IMO is a great price. About 3 hours into it right now and I can't figure out what people's problems are with the game. Sure its no 1 and 2 but so far its waaay better than 3 and 4. And I actually really liked 3 and 4 as well.

So for some stupid reason my X-Box 360 can't connect to X-Box Live. It reads that there is a connection and the network is ther, it just can't seem to connect to the internet. I asked around on the X-Box forums and they are saying that it may be my router, but obviously my router works or how the hell else would I of asked them online or be here typing this?

The need to buy a PS3 grows daily.

Overpriced as fuck, but at least the possibility exists that it would work properly for more than a month, aye?

Seriously, buy yourself a gaming computer. At least when that fails to work it'll be your own fault, not theirs.

So I'm quite enjoying Assassin's Creed, although it seems to be Prince Of Persia-y.

WAIT!

I keep reading that a price drop is imminent. Nothing official, but I think it's worth holding out a while.

"Next couple days" it says... Okay, nevermind, you probably weren't gonna get it "in the next couple days" anyway.

Currently installing Empire Total War, I can't believe it's finally here!

And tomorrow I go to pickup Tom Clancy's HAWX, Jesus, so much gaming coming up.

I'm already playing Empire: Total War, bought it for only 30€, installing it took quite a bit of patience though. Fucking Steam.

I'm surprised at how fluid it runs on my laptop, which is just under the system requirements. It's quite scalable in terms of graphic detail, but I can turn everything up to medium and I still get a decent framerate except in the biggest of land battles.

I recommend you start with the Road to Independence campaign instead of the Grand Campaign; it's basically the introduction to the new campaign maps, which are definitely different from Rome and Medieval 2.

Cool, good to hear! However I am having some rather major issues with mine. Namely it blue-screening everytime I start the game up. I've installed the latest graphics and sound drivers for my laptop.

The error message it's giving is:

DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL_TO

And then

CHDAud.sys and a memory address.

It's been so long since I've had to troubleshoot anything. I looked it up and it said that it's an audio driver issue, but it did it both before and after I installed the audio shit. I've been spoilt by consoles

So yeah, I've spent the best part of 3 hours raging at it to no avail.

You know, I've had CoD:WaW blue screening on start-up every time I connect my laptop to the surround sound system I have, or more precisely, the external Creative sound card that provides the surround sound. And even without attempting to play any games, blue screens occasionally happen when the external sound card is plugged in. Strange, how such "insignificant" hardware (as opposed to graphics and memory hardware, the raw power of your machine) can have such an impact on the stability of your system.
