This is not Black Metal evolution, just extreme music with Tool-like drumming and hardcore vocals. Not bad though, 70 for me.

This album is awesome, easily going to be one of the best albums of the year. McSorley is impressive for doing this in-between fighting in a war.

Is USBM just now becoming awesome or have I just missed something? Krallice, WITTR, Nachtmystium and Cobalt are so much more enjoyable than Leviathan or Xasthur. And Nachtmystium isn't overrated, asshat.

Arsonry is one of the heaviest songs I've ever heard.

In a fair world, Cobalt would be bigger and better known than the likes of the overrated Nachtmystium.

Or, of course, Enslaved!

Very good album, though. Probably would be high on my AOTY list too.

Wow, another album of the year so quickly, and that was a great review. I feel another great year for metal coming on and only listening to 1/8 of what comes out in 2009.

Serious want for this album. The USBM is becoming a beast unto itself!

61 tracks in an album of under 1 hour length and yet gets a rating of 95 ? Looks like they've pulled it off very well. I have to give this a listen.

Most are silent, the first ten and the last one are the 'proper' tracks. I mentioned them all just to be anal.

I'll have to pick this up. Not really familiar with USBM.

This album is rediculously good.

Also I think Profound Lore are doing an amazing job of exposing interesting and original bands who are pushing the envelope of extreme metal.

Gin is the best album to come out this year so far.

Nope, nothing from the US will ever top Tentacles of Whorror. Also Nachtmystium are overrated, the only 90+ album they have is Instinct:Decay.

Also, KRIEG?!?!

I guess I need to check out Tentacles. I guess it depends on how you see Nachtmystium. I see them as a pretty consistent upper 70s to 80s. And KRIEG?!? I guess I'll have to check him/them out.

Destruction Ritual is an amazing piece of violent black metal.

And Nachtmystium are indeed solid, but have only one great album.
