hated Quantum, started off ok but before halfway it had already devolved into a retarded mindless hunt for that guy.

i'd definitely hit the bond girl, though :dio:

I actually don't remember anything of it. I just remember walking out of the cinema pretty darn eager to get home.

Atonement - pretty good adaptation of the book. i liked the music and the artsy visuals, although some of them made me want to smack the director and ask him what the hell he was thinking.

It's basically Clint Eastwood swearing at Koreans, isn't it? Sounds entertaining enough...

Grand Torino is fucking awesome. Best 2008 movie tied with The Wrestler.

Meh, Quantum was pretty boring IMO..

@ Brahm: Ray Stevenson was perfectly OK. Nothing amazing, as I can't imagine playing a mindless superhero without very many lines is very challenging. He does make for a good bad-ass though.

The Punisher character was spot on IMO. Only positive thing about the movie probably...

Are you serious  ? Best 2008 movie?!! It entertained me in the theater, but I would never see it again. Yesterday I was going to saw Milk, but then a friend told me it was about a gay activist of sorts, so I desisted. Brokeback Mountain didn't do much for me so...

The Legend Of The Drunken Master

I want more crazy martial arts movies as ridiculously entertaining as this one.

Bought some stuff:

Herzok/Kinski boxset
John Pilger - Documentaries That Changed The World

for when I'm sober, and:

Conan The Barbarian
Red Sonja
Raw Deal
Red Heat

for when I'm not.

Watched Lakeview Terrace. Sam Jackson's a good actor, but the film was meh.

the scene in the second movie when Jane takes her heels off in the kitchen and she shrinks like 2 feet then the look on Leslie Nielsons face is priceless

Red Heat - The one-liners are awful and Arnie is perhaps the worst actor ever, but all is hilarious, from the man himself in a skirt wrestling naked men in the snow at the start to Belushi's freak-outs. 'You know what this is called? This is called chicken! BUT YOU DON'T PLAY IT WITH BUSES!' Plus, Gina Gershon.

A backwards kick to the chest obviously.
