Watched Walk Hard last night. Kinda funny, wasn't really worth it though.

Just saw the Angels & Demons trailer. Can't wait!

Watching that in class on Monday. I've never really enjoyed it that much.

Errrr, you do know what he was hiding in the safe right? And her friend was the missing girl.

They never really tell you what was in the safe, do they? And sure, he did something to her friend, but the method of vigilantism that she uses I find contrary to my sense of justice.

Ellen Page's voice makes me want to hit her with a baseball bat. Hard Candy was the first movie i saw with her in it though so the feeling of annoyance wasn't as strong and i liked it

Fridge, you totally missed the point of the film and my last point here. You don't agree politically with what someone did in a film! Will wonders never cease.

Watched Taken. Whoever said 'twas crap was right - plenty of racism, but not enough OTT action to make it fun.

The acting and some of the jokes in Clerks are a bit dated, but it still has a very real feel about it, and I think it definitely deserves its cult status. Clerks 2 was a lot funnier, and unlike a lot of comedy sequels (ala American Pie 2) it didn't lose any of the heart that the original had, even though there was a bigger emphasis on gross out gags.

Trainspotting

Wasn't sure what to think of this, and I'm not sure of the statement it was trying to make. I know it had some sort of message or statement, becaues you don't make a movie like this about drug addicts and not be trying to make some sort of statement on the issue. I guess it didn't help i watched it at 2 in the morning, I'll have to watch it again.

Dragonball Evolution

Yep. It's a shitty movie. But I knew it was gonna be shit going in, so at least it was stupidly entertaining.

I'm a fan of the anime, but I'll not see the movie. The trailer is so lame.

But it was so good... How was it racist? You didn't enjoy Liam Neeson just dominating everyone left and right?

The idea that you can't step off American territory without being abducted by icky Europeans is kind of offensive to us Euros. Even the Paris police are corrupt and useless in the face of Arabian lust for white virgins! The only hope is a man, working on his own, away from the liberals who want the world to go to pot!

Normally I'd enjoy this sort of thing if, say, Arnie was at the helm, but as much as I like watching Liam N do the kung-fu, it was just dull. Took half a bleeding hour to get started, then there were about two good action scenes (shootout at the whorehouse, then the fight with the Sheik's son). Maggie wossface from Lost makes the most annoying teenager ever. Still, I was totally like 'ooh, there's Holly Valance' which was a bit embarassing. Australian B-list celebrities ftw.

Europeans aren't a race. I get what you're saying but it was a fluffed plot just to have Liam kick ass. And the trading of women is a really big deal which doesn't get much attention, mind you that it may not be europeans being abducted but Southeast Asia is rife with it. And what about the first action scene where he pounds the shit out of that guy's liver in the taxi or the construction scene? I just enjoyed how awkward Liam's character was at times.

Fine, Europeans aren't a race, but they were treated as one in the film. Were this a Seagal vehicle, you'd have ignored it completely.

Because Seagal is boring and an awful actor. Liam Neeson is a likeable guy and although his acting was forced in this I at least know it can be better if he puts effort into it. Seagal just always sucks.

Meh. Still a boring action film.

OSS 117 - Cairo, Nest of Spies - Hilarious French piss-take of old James Bond. I probably missed half the jokes, but what I got was very entertaining.

And that's the bottom line because the Zadster said so.

Don't watch Hostel.

Even I got pissed off with Hostel and the whole Euros are bad thing.

Eastern Europeans aren't real Euros.
