I'm going to take the time to plug Inside, if we're on the subject of modern French horror films.

Still need to see Frontier(s) and Martyrs, though.

Yes, I have seen Martyrs; I saw it on the big screen at Leeds Film Festival, which was pretty cool.

It is a good film; pretty harrowing. It's kind of like a much artier Hostel, in that it's all about the "aargh that's horrible" moments but it has a lot more of an oppressive and shocking sense to it. The highbrow elements could just make it seem pretentious, but they actually give it a kind of creepy supernatural feel. Hostel was always a bit fratboy for me whereas this one can appeal to the geekier horror nerds.

Not to mention the fact that it leaves Hostel eating its dust in terms of pure horror. Heavy shit indeed.

So yeah, I'd recommend it for horror fans.

Haven't seen Inside either. Falling behind on my horror films

Martyrs is good though (see above post)

So after reading this:

I'm totally looking forwards to Crank 2.

Loved the first. It's like Arnie never made Kindergarten Cop and spoilt action films ever since!

Meh. That and Terminator 2 were efforts to make Arnie less of the emotionless killing machine he was in previous films, and neither holds a candle to Terminator 1, Commando, Predator, etc. IMHO, of course.

The Chaser - ridiculous plot holes and one of the most dreadful police forces EVAR, but ok otherwise. Hammer ballet!

Just got Frontiers (as recommended by Skeksis and others in this thread) and Mum and Dad (apparently very tasteless and sickly funny Brit horror) in the post from amazon. Dunno when I will get a chance to watch them though...

I've seen Mum and Dad, quite good low-budget horror. Certainly not the best I've seen but has a great underlying message. Think Texas Chainsaw meets League Of Gentlemen... you'll probably like it.

Did I tell you that Last Horror Film thing came a while ago? Wanted to leave it a while since Man Bites Dog is still pretty clear in ma mind.

Looking forward to watching M&D, definitely.

Ah ha, Last Horror Movie!

Good times... I'm afraid to admit the ending really shit me up.

Freddy vs. Jason

Overflowing with camp and cheese and bad one liners. Except for the "Why aren't you coming?" "it's not my fault she's dead on her feet!" part, which for some reason made me lol pretty hard.
Didn't expect anything else though. I think I've been watching too many serious and complicated horror films to be able to enjoy this as it was intended, but eh, I had a bit of fun.

There is a film. It is called Dead Snow. There are Nazi zombies in this film. I really want to see it.

This is what I meant: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1278340/

Norwegian, too. I'm hoping for Immortal on the soundtrack.

Not the best movie ever but whoever's into Star Wars should enjoy it.

I saw a teaser for the nazi zombie lake one, and it looked fucking creepy as. Although, I don't think it's past production yet, so I don't think it's the same one :P

EDIT: It was called Worst Case Scenario, and it hasn't even made it to production yet, so yeah, different movie :P
