There is not "thrashiness" on this album. You and your silly words!

That said, great album. Sailing the Seas of Cheese, however, is a fucking classic!

Sure there is. It sounds like Metallica at times.

Examples? I haven't gone through it song by song, but John the Fisherman and Spaghetti Western popped up recently on random and I don't hear it.

While I do acknowledge Les Claypool's prowess on the bass, I never could get into these guys.
Have Pork Soda, Sailing the Seas..., nothing, man. No click, no connection whatsoever.

I only have Sailing the Seas..., which sometimes I love, although only on very specific occasions.

The title track for sho' off the top of my head. It's not so much the band starting to thrash out as it is a discernable thrash influence, and the way the melodies are used is very 'tallica-y at times.

So nothing can be Thrash-influenced. It's either THRASH, or it isn't. Noted. So what genre would you call Primus?

Progressive funk metal, what i really dont hear is the 'tallica comparissions, hell even when they cover Metallica they sound a hell lot different.

It's subtle. There's a riff towards the end of the title track which is total-Metallica worship, and there are plenty of moments which sound like the bit from the start of One.
