Wrote an email to Terrorizer.
Opening the new issue of my favourite Metal magazine, I was a little surprised to read Louise Brown's Editorial and see what was basically a fantasy about the mysterious Roman Saenko. Now, whilst I'm as curious about the man as anyone, and count myself as a firm fan of his various projects, I do wish that Terrorizer wouldn't give into Drudkh's wish to paper over their past, whether it's their questionable t-shirts, membership of NSBM bands like Hate Forest, or the rarely-criticised support for the Ukrainian Insurgent Army, which infamously carried out massacres of innocent Poles, murdering perhaps hundreds of thousands:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Massacres_ ... n_VolhyniaDrudkh's press release counting themselves a 'non-political' band is clearly cynicism of the highest order and obviously done at the behest of Season Of Mist, a Metal label for which I have nothing but respect. Don't get me wrong, I'm not cross with Terrorizer, label or band, I just wish that all had enough respect for their public to put the facts out in plain terms and allow Metalheads the choice for themselves. In a world where the BNP have more legitimate political power than ever before, whitewashing the questionable past of Drudkh's members (something about which they have been careful not to comment, as much as they defend their band) is a bit of a misstep, and considering Terrorizer's usually excellent political stance, seems a bit of an oddity.
Great magazine otherwise, although that new 1349 is a bit rubbish.
Zadok.
Fingers crossed I get on the letters page.
