Basically says music sales are down because people are spending their limited income on games and dvds instead.

Have you not noticed HMV and other retailers dedicating a lot more space to games over the past few years? There's more money to be made from stackig them than CDs.

It's been like this already since the days of the PS2, X-Box, and GameCube. A lot of people were even suggesting that the video game industry was becoming more lucrative than the movie industry.

I haven't been in an HMV for a good couple of years.

They are saying it because it is true. Video games made more money last year than music and movies combined.

I remember when I could go into an HMV and literally stay there for like an hour just looking up and down the aisles. Then I found amazon and eBay.

Wrote an email to Terrorizer.

Quote:
Opening the new issue of my favourite Metal magazine, I was a little surprised to read Louise Brown's Editorial and see what was basically a fantasy about the mysterious Roman Saenko. Now, whilst I'm as curious about the man as anyone, and count myself as a firm fan of his various projects, I do wish that Terrorizer wouldn't give into Drudkh's wish to paper over their past, whether it's their questionable t-shirts, membership of NSBM bands like Hate Forest, or the rarely-criticised support for the Ukrainian Insurgent Army, which infamously carried out massacres of innocent Poles, murdering perhaps hundreds of thousands: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Massacres_ ... n_Volhynia

Drudkh's press release counting themselves a 'non-political' band is clearly cynicism of the highest order and obviously done at the behest of Season Of Mist, a Metal label for which I have nothing but respect. Don't get me wrong, I'm not cross with Terrorizer, label or band, I just wish that all had enough respect for their public to put the facts out in plain terms and allow Metalheads the choice for themselves. In a world where the BNP have more legitimate political power than ever before, whitewashing the questionable past of Drudkh's members (something about which they have been careful not to comment, as much as they defend their band) is a bit of a misstep, and considering Terrorizer's usually excellent political stance, seems a bit of an oddity.

Great magazine otherwise, although that new 1349 is a bit rubbish.

Zadok.

Fingers crossed I get on the letters page.

Got a reply and all! Looks like next month's Tez will be well worth a read, although they don't have any writer spots free... Tez's loss is MR's gain, I suppose.

No idea, heh. Only applied casually, apparently they want to keep costs down and have people write in-house due to el credit crunch. Can't imagine it'd be vast amounts anyways, but kudos-wise would have been fun.

No doubt.

I'm sure the Terrorizer office is a fun place.

Guys, I thought that Brokencyde might have been an isolated incident. I'm finding out as we speak that this may not be the case.

Contemplating suicide, here.

Edit: I may have over-reacted. But scene-kids and screamo appear to be co-opting shitty fucking dance music as well. This was news to me.

For a laugh, though, check this out:
