Fuck yes. Immediate crush when I saw it.

Mmmm...Emily Browning. Now that she's 20 I can feel ok about checking her out. She actually turned down the lead role in that awful teen shitfest Twilight. Hopefully she'll do porn instead.

She doesn't like Twilight??

Terminator Salvation. Pretty awesome, with a side order of awesome. Except I have a few issues:

1. Is it possible to perform a heart transplant in a tent in the desert?
2. Why can't Skynet listen in on the humans using radios to plan their attacks?
3. Why have I not known about Moon Bloodgood until now? FAP!
4. Who dropped the mini nuke at the start when Connor is in the chopper? And why didn't he burn? That confused me a lot.
5. Will there ever be a Terminator vs Transformers movie?

She's really cute. I must say, I liked her better in A Series of Unfortunate Events when I was 13, but she's still pretty good-lookin. I almost wish she had been in Twilight so she could land more roles...

Transformers 2. Now that the endorphins have worn off after seeing Megan Fox's tight ass and awesome robots kicking each other to bits, I am now thinking that was the biggest pile of shit I've seen in a long while.

There was no story, gaping plot holes (why didn't the Fallen just choose a different sun if they're that desperate? Or put the fucking sun-destroying gun on Mars), huge continuity errors (one minute Fox and some other lame character are running down a hill, the next thing they are in Bumblebee, one minute they're in Egypt, then Jordan, then magically in Egypt again), pointless gags that made no sense (why did the Sector 7 guy rip off his pants?), hilarious Americanisation (can't have a Transformers fight without the military, able to put huge US forces in Egypt with asking, the Jordanians send two Blackhawk choppers as their support, which quickly get blown up).

Anyways, it's worth it to see a hot Decepticon (played by dumber than dumb Australian actress Isabell Lucas) extend a steel cable out of its ass. Pretty much sums up the movie, really.

Transformers 2 - total overkill but enjoyable, without the mystery of the first one.

Knowing - 8/10. Loved this movie!! The FX is just amazing and the storyline very original.

I was being extremely sarcastic. I thought the first was trite shit; I couldn't imagine how awful this one will be.

Oh, and there's this gem. Megatron transforms and flies off up in the sky: immediatley cut to the next shot of him landing on Cybertron and saying, "Ahh, I'm home". Is Cybertron only a few kilometers above Earth's atmosphere? WTF?

Saw The Usual Suspects yesterday. I'm not usually a fan of crime/thriller movies, but this one was quite awesome, and had a great twist at the end which was both surprising and actually made sense (most twists these days leave out one of those).

I just watched again Bergman's Seventh Seal. Movies nowadays are so shitty, the scripts are so Hollywood. It's sad really... We need to talk more about old movies here.
This one is not so old, but what do you guys think about Apocalypse Now? The script is excellent, and Brando is just there improvising like a fucking fat bald god. Incredible.

The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly

Sooooo badass. The score is, of course, excellent as well.

My favourite movie of all time. Perfect take on Heart of Darkness and the Vietnam War- Marlon Brando, Martin Sheen and Dennis Hopper rule that movie, though the entire cast is great. Goddamn is it depressing, though.

And it kind of goes without saying, but the Director's Cut version sucks- way too long, themes and scenes are repetitive, and the harrowing buildup to Kurtz' camp as the boat goes further and further into the jungle and away from civilization is preceded by... 45 minutes of discussion with French people? Ugh. To anyone who wants to watch it for the first time, watch the Theatrical- you can get both pretty easily.

One of my top ten movies of all time. Has it all, action, good performances, awesome music, good script, emotive moments, laughs... I've seen it like ten times and it never bores me. Is there an underground spaguetti western that no one knows I should see?

This is the best movie Mexico has ever done, despite the director being from Spain. Buñuel's Los Olvidados (The Forgotten Ones, that's the translation, I don't know the title in english or other languages). Describing Mexico City in the 50's, the everyday struggle of the low classes to survive. Mexico has fame for doing only comic movies, but this isn't funny at all, in fact, it's very sad and tragic, and combined with a little surrealism make Los Olvidados one of my favorite movies ever.

I actually liked the part with the french people. Their situation was really demential, and made me go deeper into the film dark aura. Also I liked the fact that everyone was on drugs or alcohol while doing the film :P, made things more realistic.

Apocalypse Now is amazing. I always liked Sheen's part better than Brando's. Sheen really is the one who you see slipping and you progress with while Brando is just being out there. I've only ever seen the director's cut I believe. I have the dvd I just always went for the redux or whatever it is called.
