Say, how about that UFC 103?
Bit of a let-down, no?

It was about what I'd expect it to be. It wasn't a huge stacked card or anything, but the fights were good enough. Cro Cop/Dos Santos was a bit slow, but I think the rest of the fights were fairly entertaining. I did miss the undercard, though.

I think Machida vs Shogun should be entertaining... The fight itself is somewhat intriguing, but at the same time I would have liked to have seen Shogun get one more fight in against a top contender. I love Shogun to death, and have been a huge fan since the old Pride days where he was wrecking the shit out of everyone in 2005-06, but his fight with Forrest was supposedly marred by a knee injury, then supposedly he's recovered and puts on a lackluster performance against Mark Coleman... Then SEEMS to show up against Liddel but the fight ends too early.

I love both fighters, but I think Machida is just on another level at this point.

The rest of the card is alright. I want to see how Ben Rothwell does in the UFC. Plus Ryan " Darth " Bader is on the card. Best nickname ever.

I don't know; the Cro-Cop / Dos santos fight left me feeling cheated, somehow.
Cro-Cop obviously has no desire to carry on, ever since the Gonzaga fight, he seems to have lost whatever it was that drove him.
RIP, Mirko.
As for Dos Santos; I expected more from him, as well... hungry up-and-comer, out to make his mark, facing a legend in MMA. I know he has solid striking ability, but it seems like he left it on the plane.
Or perhaps the hotel.
Franklin / Belfort... a fair and square fight, but it would have been nice to see at least two rounds, and a more spectacular KO; it looked as if a mere cuffing downed him, setting up the left hook to the jaw that finished it.
Meh, again, I got that WTF feeling while watching it.
Koscheck / Trigg... another quick finish.
I did enjoy watching Gorgeous George get his lavender locks bounced off the canvas, though... what the hell is with this guy? Instead of a cut man and coach, etc. in his corner, I kept expecting to see a small harem of boys in togas waiting with grapes and a fan.

The Story / Miller (I believe) fight was pretty good, though.

Yeah, Machida vs. Shogun should, I say should, be pretty good. We'll see.

Ryan "Master" Bader would be a good one, too.

Not me. I'm quite happy to watch you squirm like a beached whale, clearly another PETA-friendly mod felt it was more humane to brush your twattishness under the carpet.

I did, you got a fuckin problem?

No, seriously though, I did. I should have deleted it on the basis of the flamebaiting title alone. You can't honestly believe a thread like that deserved to live.

Please do me a favor, if you really feel the need to antagonize ERRR talk to Zad about what you feel are his shortcomings, do 99.9% of us on the forum a favor and do it via PM from now on. Pretty please, with sugar on top.

You know, I really thought those threads would be taken lightly. Haven't you guys known me long enough? It's all in good fun. No harm intended.

And yeah, you didn't have to delete that thread, especially after my last kick-ass reply! :P

yes because I have receipts and old VHS from 10 to 15 years ago. Cause you know, we haven't moved and VHS don't tend to break. Again, for the last time, I don't care if you don't believe me. Adam was right, my dad bought them. I don't know how much he payed, but we got them and we watched them. I really think you just don't want to admit you were wrong.

If anything, your dad rented them and never returned them. That was the way of things back then. Haha. Who, outside of rich assholes, paid $95 for a VHS tape? And trust me, you could not buy them cheaper—anywhere. I looked. I scoured stores and the Internet. They were not cheap anywhere out there.

And you know of one-off canadian rental stores? Maybe he did keep them, I don't know. But I do know that we had them. A lot of them.

I will probably pick Franklin, but I don't know. Have never seen Belfort fight that much.

This, from a self-proclaimed fan "from day one," been watching the UFC in particular from day one. Yet he's not seen Belfort fight that much, a guy that has fought a dozen times in the UFC, nearly 50% of his total fights.

I also admitted to not seeing every single UFC. Jesus you are an asshole.

Well, its easy for me to take it lightly considering the thread wasn't called "Flogging an Adam", haha. As I said before, I've grown accustomed to your, ahem, unique sense of forum humor. And yes, I had to delete it. It was like taking Ol' Yeller out back. I didn't necessarily want to to do it, but it had to be done. I'm sure you'll think up another kickass reply for next time.

Now, back to the topic at hand. Anybody watch TUF tonight? That was one of the worst fights ever on that show. McSweeney should have been ashamed to win. If Shivers could've managed to go more than 1 minute without running out of gas, he would have pounded him. I know McSweeney landed some good kicks, but I felt like the judges thought "Well, the little guy didn't get as tired, so I guess he won."

Anyway, next week should be entertaining (Kimbo v Big Country).

Yeah TUF tonight was nothing amazing. A pretty sad fight followed up by nothing else.

I am surprised that Kimbo is fighting so soon. I thought they'd save him for later into the season. But, I guess it's Rashads pick and he wants to see what Kimbo can do. Should be a good fight. I say Big Country wins.

And I a little surprised no one has mentioned that Rampage has quit fighting. It was all over the Fight Network last night. WTH is up with that?

That I don't know. The UFC website doesn't have anything about it and neither does yahoo sports, so I don't know yet.

I'd be shocked if 103 had more buys, honestly.

Btw, I'm getting the HDrip of Sengoku 10. It's supposed to be a great card. If anyone wants a link to it, PM me. You have to register at a site, but it's worth it. Great download speed.

It's a torrent site. The card is :
205 lbs.: Hiroshi Izumi (0-0) vs. Antz Nansen (0-0)
265 lbs.: Antonio “Junior” Silva (12-1) vs. “Big” Jim York (11-2)
155 lbs.: Ryan “The Lion” Schultz (20-11-1) vs. Kazunori Yokota (9-2-3)
185 lbs.: Joe “El Dirte” Doerksen (42-12) vs. Takenori Sato (9-6-4)
185 lbs.: Makoto Takimoto (5-5) vs. Jae Sun Lee (5-4)
170 lbs.: Maximo “Makishi” Blanco (3-2-1) vs. Tetsuya Yamada (3-1)
170 lbs.: Nick “The Goat” Thompson (38-11-1) vs. Dan Hornbuckle (18-2)
205 lbs.: Ryo Kawamura (10-4-2) vs. Fabio “Fabinho” Silva (11-5)

Basically no one you'd really know unless you follow Japanese MMA or worldwide MMA. It was a very exciting card, I'm just waiting to convert the file I got into a smaller filesize so I can throw it on my gig stick and watch it on my PS3.

Hornbuckle is an up and coming WW, his fight was solid, the HW fight between Silva/York was pretty good, and the rest of the fights are fun as well. Definitely worth watching.

It's a torrent download, http://www.bestmmatorrents.com/details/ ... ts.torrent

You have to register, just takes a second. I imagine this is alright to post here since it's just a TV rip of a Japanese MMA event. If not, feel free to delete it mods.

Anderson Silva vs. Vitor Belfort for the title at UFC 108

Rashad Evans vs. Thiago Silva also at UFC 108

Dan Henderson currently negotiating a contract with the UFC, will probably fight Nate Marquardt for the #1 contender spot.

Kimbo can't fight, but he is a cash cow and the UFC will keep him around, if for only the rest of the year. Figures that Kimbo loses, is off the show, and that other big black guy, Marcus whatever, can't fight anymore. I call BS.

yep to all the above...
I love how Nelson said he was going to put on a clinic, and did just that. Two crucifixes and a Benny Hill-esque head slapping...
hilarious.
I used to shake my head when people trashed Dana, saying, yeah, but it's just business, but, damn, what a douche he is really turning out to be.
The fact that people will tune into UFC to watch a shitty, no skill amateur like Kimbo is not a good sign.
His ground game?
Zero. Nada. Zilch. As in, none, man. Was he in a fucking coma?
And his stand-up was not very impressive, either.

The first fight was pretty fucking bloody, though... Wagner and some other dude, can't remember; that gash on his head looked fearsome.

The second fight between that huge bastard Shivers and McSweeney was pathetic; McSweeney is supposed to be decent, but they both gassed halfway into the second round.

I am enjoying watching Rampage eat his liver, though.
