IMO it lacks some catchy hits like KING or A new Enemy or Fuel for Hatred BUT the whole mood is more dark and sinister and the average quality of the songs is overall a little more balanced on a higher level (compared to Now, Diabolical)

Just... what are you on about? A Fuel For Hatred is from Volcano, not ND, and Volcano has songs like Black Lava, which is very dark and sinister. My Skin Is Cold and Black Crow are very catchy.

And I don't get your point with the live KING video.

Yes Volcano has songs like Black Lava, but Fuel for Hatred is IMO as catchy and rocking as KING.

My Skin is Cold or Black Crow are a little bit more darker.

And the Video is funny, because: look at the fans and the moderator...and then on the band...and something doesn't fit there...

I finally bought this, and I must say I'm thoroughly enjoying some tracks while disliking others. Standouts for me are The Wolfpack, The Sign of the Trident and Den Siste - the latter could've come right off The Shadowthrone.

I personally think the entire album is solid. It was a strong effort, especially after KING... Which has grown on me a bit, but there are just a few songs where they seem to get started, but never go anywhere... and all of the songs were top notch. The rocky black metal thing they do just kicks so much ass.

Which tracks don't you like?

Actually, dislike is a bit too strong a term. But I find Black Crow on a Tombstone and Last Man Standing to be less my cup of tea than the ones mentioned above. But even they have their moments. All in all, I agree it's a solid effort and a powerful fuck-off to the sell-out screamers.
