Between The Buried And Me - The Great Misdirect (#5936)

This album is awesome. I here a little more Dream Theater influence on this one than Colors. I don't think this has any moments that quite compare to White Walls, but I think it's very enjoyable all the way through. Hopefully I can see them live sometime soon.

Dream Theater is awesome and plenty of people love Dream Theater and BTBAM. On how they dress... have you ever seen Between the Buried and Me live? They all dress completely casually. T-shirt and jeans or shorts. I think you are just writing them off because you don't want to like them.

I think the album deserved higher and would have gotten it had the review not basically been "Colors Vs. The Great Misdirect" which is how it always is. The reviewer says it sucks that it is that way, yet he can't stop talking about Colors. They will never be able to top Colors because the listeners won't let them.

I do like Colors more than TGM but I don't think it's the untoppable monument that a lot of people say it is.

Or maybe fanboys such as yourself find the notion of not liking BTBAM impossible. They do nothing for me. Period. And I don't give a shit how they dress; their music still sounds mechanical.

I refuse to listen to any band that wears t-shirts. Full three-piece suit, or GTFO, that's what I say.

I agree with your last statement. It kinda sucks for them, but I just hope they don't get hung up about trying to top Colors with every album they release, because that's a sure-fire way for them to crash and burn.
