So Lustrum was completely awesome. Better than Imperium. Read them- Harris gets Cicero completely, methinks.

A Game of Thrones and Latro in the Mist! Two of my favourite books in a row. You have some good times ahead of you.

Haha. Well, I'm only a hundred pages in so far. All the characters and locations are confusing. But it's all slowly starting to make sense.

I'm about halfway through A Feast for Crows right now. These books are truly amazing. It's gonna suck to have to wait till fucking June for #5. Also, I just found out that the series is now planned for 7 books. I had though it would just be 5.

Haha, till June? It ain't coming out in June. There is no release date, and even if he finished it write this day, it's unlikely the publishers could get it out that early. Never trust any date you read on Amazon. But yep, seven books it is- before AFFC, it was supposed to be 6.

Welcome to the waiting club, boys. It's what being a GRRM fan is all about.

Got Ellis's American Psycho (yeah, the one the movie is based on). Should be good.
If you have a weak stomach, I'd avoid it. It's the book times ten. Seriously.

Yeah, if the violence in the book was translated directly to screen it'd be one of the most violent movie's I'd ever seen.

I did a bunch of skimming in that book, not only because of the violence, but also because of how much time he spends describing exactly what he/other people are wearing. Which is to say he spends a lot of time on it.

Finished it. Yeah, that book is abso-fucking-lutely insane. If it was translated directly to the screen it would be THE most violent and fucked up movie ever made. That being said, I really liked the book. Even though he does spend a lot of time talking about random shit (the whole chapters reviewing various bands/artist's careers?), it was something of a page-turner and I always wanted to keep reading. I'd recommend it.

Now reading A Farewell to Arms by Hemingway. Kind of boring so far, tbh

On holiday I read The Gathering Storm in about 3 days.

Fuck, wasn't expecting to enjoy a WoT book this much again. Well done, RJ/BS. Seemed like each story thread had a couple of plot developments that would have been passed off as climactic events in Crossroads of Twilight. And no Elayne! :D

SPOILERS

Really liked the way Rand turned fully into a nutter here: the only disappointment was that he turned "good" again at the end. Was hoping they would string "evil rand" out until the last book.

Just kidding. Great book...one of those endings that just leaves you sitting there for a little bit, thinking.

Now looking for something else to read before school starts. Don't want to try Dr. Zhivago...too intense. I dunno.
