The thing with DLC is a lot of the time they were forced to leave it due to time or space on the disc. Also, a lot of DLC is made well after the game hits store shelves and the creators get feedback on what would be cool new additions. Take the GTA4 DLC, I literally just beat The Lost and the Damned like 2 hours ago, and for a measly 15$ I got 12 hours of new story, new weapons, and new online modes. As for Borderlands DLC I've heard it has new weapons and adds to the story. Not just pointless crap. Plus it's cheap and more achievements.

I can't wait for the Assassins Creed 2 and Modern Warfare 2 DLC to come out.

I would like to call bullshit on this. Borderlands doesn't nearly take up as much space on my harddrive as several other games in my library do. This leads me to believe that much more memory could've been used up on the disc for the extra material that came out later as DLC. However, if the developers simply run out of time before the release date arrives and are forced to release the unfinished material as DLC, that's understandable, but I don't think that's very likely to happen. Game developers have no problems pushing release dates back.

The GTA IV DLC is a very different story on the other hand. For $15 you basically get a whole new game that's better than anything on Xbox Live Arcade and most of what's available in stores. I wish more developers would do things like that.

The Fallout 3 DLC is also damn good and cheap. Sure not all DLC is worth it like both of Fable 2's DLC. But I still got them... The CoD4 map pack was worth it and so will the upcoming MW2 map pack.

Forza 3 takes the idea of extra content a step further by including a second "Install Disk," with new cars and tracks.

The GOTY edition of Fallout 3 which includes all 5 pieces of DLC will probably be my next purchase.

Just make sure you finish all your quests and explore every possible planet before you go on the final mission, because you can't go back and play after that (which is lame).

Just like in 99% of the role playing games out there.

I got right up to (what I assume was) the last level in ME, and then my hard drive died. Can't really be bothered playing it again, and was it just me or were a good portion of the side quests and planets boring?

Yeah they were kind of grindy and pointless. What made ME great were all the character interactions, the battles were boring whenever they weren't special battles like boss battles.

Started Dragon Age last night. I usually don't like RPGs especially those set in a fantasy midieval times, but this is different. I just can't wait to get home and play some more. Started off as a human noble.

So I remembered why I hate playing RPGs last night. Got to Redcliffe castle and couldn't beat these stupid things in the castle, I tried and I tried. Eventually said fuck it and shut it off. I'm the kind of person who when playing a game I hate to die. I seem to be dying a lot now in Dragon Age. I could lower the difficulty, but I'm not a bitch.
