Finished Dante's Inferno last night, it was a fun albeit a bit short (completed it in less than 8 hours) adventure. The combat is a bit like God of War which is fine, i don't understand why everybody complains about it. I also found the Punish/Absolve mechanic to be fun, you could decide whether you want the to kill the demons or absolve them and send them to Heaven....which is a bit weird, but it totally makes sense when it comes to the "famous" souls residing in the various circles of Hell, the first one you come across is none other than Pontius Pilate and you can either punish him or absolve him which will give you Holy or Unholy XP depending on what you do to him/them. This unlocks tiers of either Holy and Unholy skills and upgrades which you must purchase with the souls of the damned i.e the souls of those demons/damned that you kill. The atmosphere and music was also pretty creepy. If you like God of War and Devil May Cry, go pick this baby up!
Have you played Bayonetta? That game raised the bar so high for me in this genre of games so I have a hard time playing anything else really. Darksiders was absolutely unplayable to name an example.
I have played Bayonetta yes, have not gotten that far into it yet, but now that i am done with Dante's Inferno ill probably start playing that now while i wait for God of War 3......plus a whole bunch of other games i need to finish. I just got Mass Effect 2 but i have not completed the first one yet, so i think i will finish that one before i start on number 2. What did you think made Darksiders unplayable? Personally i really enjoyed it...it was like a sinister version of Zelda.
