Well this game is over...

Brodeur has been brutal. Miller has been exceptional.

That was a fantastic game. Brodeur wasn't at his sharpest but I wouldn't blame it all on him (though I'd start Luongo next if it was my call). Canada was definitely having trouble getting quality scoring chances. Miller was outstanding, as expected, and I gotta credit the Americans, they really tightened up their game in the third.

I'm worried about Sweden though, they haven't played with any speed, urgency or intensity at all so far and Finland will come out flying.

3-0.. very solid! Finland had nothing.
I expect we'll beat slovakia in the quarterfinal but i'm worried about facing Canada or Russia in the semifinals.. Jumping way ahead here though.

Fantastic effort by both Latvia and Norway.

Today is gonna be another absolutely amazing night for hockey. Canada-Russia? It's gonna be electric!

that Zucarello is good but he's so small. That's why he's not there yet. Olympic hockey is not nearly as gritty and rough as playoff hockey. If he makes it, it will be on a non-playoff team. It's not that it will be his fault, it's just true playoff contenders won't take chances on players who are so small. I can see him on some southern American team like atlanta or Nashville.

Bobby-Lu better play his heart out tonight. He's gonna get tested, but so will Nabokov. We do have 4 San Jose players who know Nabby well. Russias defence is pretty weak and the KHL guy is hurt so they are even weaker on D. Nabbys been shaky and their pp isn't nearly as scary as it was made out to be. I'm not saying Canada will win this fair and square, but we definitely have a chance. We just need to out hit them and show more heart. It's been our lack of heart and grit that cost us the game against the US. I can't wait until 7:38 Pm eastern pacific time. This is my playoffs.

He is small, and that is a great disadvantage in hockey but there are small players that made it big, Theoren Fleury for example! When he was in his prime he was fantastic. Shame about his drug problems and all that..

Not comparing Zuccarello to fleury here, just saying it isn't impossible :D

I know it's not impossible, just look at Marty St. Louis as another example. But history shows that smaller players are far less likely to make an impact in the NHL. Zucarello would probably tear the AHL apart, but he would struggle at the NHL level, at least at the start of his career.
