I haven't heard State of Euphoria but I can honestly say it's probably better then "Persistence of time". That album was a terrible waste of Belladonna's final appearance in the band. Nice review though Zad, you should write for MA.

Cheers, but the last review I submitted was rejected because of NO REASON AT ALL and so ever since I've held a grudge.

Some good songs on this album but on the whole it is a bit of a step down like it said in the review. The first 4 songs are killer but the quality drops after that in my opinion.. Finale finishes the album off in style though.

Compared to the rest of their 80s stuff (from Spreading the Disease to Persistence of Time) this album really sticks out as a weak point for me. I've tried to get into it, I really have, but something about it just kind of annoys me a little, I'm not sure what it is. I can listen to it and enjoy it, but not for long, and not repeatedly, that's for sure. And hey Zad, not that I'm a fanboy or anything but that little dig at Evile seemed a tad harsh? Even for your jaded, bitter self :P I dunno, I guess I feel it's a bit too early to write them off as 'pretenders', give 'em a couple more albums maybe...I guess you are a critic by trade though lol

Heh, don't take the Evile jab personally, they were the first band that came to mind when I was trying to think of a modern Thrash horde to compare the 'thrax to.

lol yeah fair enough...as I say I'm no big fan myself, but I definitely think there are far worse new thrash bands out there...having said that though there are better ones too :D

I agree. There is just something with this album that doesnt feel right. Can't put my finger on it. It is a pretty good album but it's sandwiched in between some great albums..

Why even compare?

Making a prediction about which bands will enter legendary status in the Thrash scene and which won't? It wasn't a musical comparison, as you're no doubt aware.
