Raw Power, Wop Hour... it rhymes.
They are pretty good, though.

Crust is awesome. Another band that fits here but no-one's mentioned yet is Neurosis - obviously they moved away from hardcore but their early albums are very underrated.

I freaking love crust punk. Aus Rotten, Wolfbrigade, and especially DOOM... All excellent stuff. :dio:

I'm sorry to post this right after a brief conversation about crust punk, but I'm afraid to say that after a drunken night of listening to blink-182 and playing Doom I've rekindled an affection towards pop-punk. Call it nostalgia. Does anybody have any recommendations? I'll also be accepting ridicule.

Ha! Well, Blink 182 are complete and utter shit, but there are sort of ok bands. Not sure if Rancid count or the more ska-punk bands, but Alkaline Trio and AFI are probably the best pop-punkers around, although AFI's earlier stuff is much better than their current stuff.

Damn straight. Not sure where in Canada you are, but there's some summer shows coming up in Victoria, Vancouver and Calgary.

I agree, really fun band. Have you ever checked out the Dwarves? They're along the same lines as Zeke and possibly more likely to offend you parents..which is a bonus.

Haha, awesome. I've seen them referenced in the same sentence as Zeke, certainly, but I haven't checked them out yet.

If you buy a shirt, I'll be the one selling it to you. I usually do merch for any of their Canadian shows these days.

Do you know what time they'll be playing at? There's another show I want to go to here on the same day and I'm hoping they don't overlap lol

If it's like any other show at the Sugar in the past, probably around 10:30-11 PM. I usually don't find out set times until we walk into the club.

Blood Guts & Pussy is a great album, all 18 minutes of it. I really like Come Clean and Dwarves are Young and Good Looking. If you like Zeke, you'll like these albums (I think...)

I liked punk alot when I was younger and it was a big step on my way to discovering metal. Was into bands like The Skids, The Clash, The Vibrators, Sex Pistols, Stiff Little Fingers, Ramones, The Damned, The Misfits, Dead Kennedys, The Stranglers.

I actually like to listen to Blink-182 once in a while it's not that bad.
It's just plain fun to listen to.

as far Punk Rock goes though, my favorite are Rise Against, Paramore, Saves The Day, Green Day, AFI and Billy Talent.

Good punk:
Wire, Magazine, Buzzcocks, Ruts, The Damned, Dead Boys, 999, Gang of Four, Stiff Little Fingers, PIL, The Clash, Fugazi...

All that pseudo-revival that can be seen on MTV is crap, period.
