Games are meant to be played with friends! Whether you physically know them or not.

I love MW2 at night with my headphones on. Some Vader or old Slayer usually does the trick.

Really? I never have music on when I play online, hearing footsteps is too important.

when I have the headphones in seems to be when I have my best games. On average I can easily get 15 kills a match, but when I've got my headphones on I can easily double getting my kills into the high 20s to low 30s. I know for a pc gamer that's nothing, but on the 360 getting 20+ kills is damn good and usually top of the leaderboard.

Actually, the comparison in MW2 is easier to make now that there are no longer big servers with custom time limits; I don't know how it is on consoles, but servers are capped at 18. My scores are usually still below twenty, but I'm getting the hang of it and I'm not playing hardcore anymore.

Well, both can be fun. It's only very rarely that singleplayer games can captivate as much as multiplayer games. It's not just the social contact, but also the challenge that is offered, that gives multiplayer games a generally greater longevity.

I just haven't found an online game that works for me aside from sports, I like playing NHL 10 online because playing another person does add a whole new element that isn't there playing against the AI, however, aside from sports everything else feels smaller, monotonous, and pointless. I play games for story first and foremost, I know obviously that everyone has their preferences, I just felt the need to reply to the fact that I'm somehow not playing videogames the right way because I like to do it alone.

Playing games is what I do to escape from everything and the last thing I want in that experience is some douche (including friends). In fact the only way I do like to socialy game is watching. My roommate and I once in awhile pull all nighters on games where one of us plays and one watches. Recently we drank a bunch and I played through Heavy Rain and next week he played Bioshock 2.

don't get me wrong, I love a good single player campaign. Bioshock, Bioshock 2, Halo 3: ODST, GTA4 + the 2 DLCs, Fallout 3, Fable 2, and even the single player stuff in both Modern Warfares. I just prefer killing randoms online in MW2. It's not like all there is is team deathmatch, there are more game modes that change things up. Plus if you run into douches online, mute them. Simple shit.

Well I know there is more than deathmatch stuff. I give things a chance before I write them off, I played abit of MW2 with my brother and I didnt like it, I gave SOCOM some time as well and its terrible, as well Ive played Halo, Bioshock 2, GTA4, Rainbow Six, Metal Gear Solid 4, etc.. Most big games that come out I find a way to try and oddly enough Metal Gear 4 had the most unique and interesting online as I did like playing as a guard waiting to see if Snake was sneakin about. I just dont like people is about all I can say lol

Resistance: Fall Of Man has a surprisingly awesome online game. That and Battlefield 1943 are my two favorite online games. Oh, and also Goldeneye Source for Half-Life 2 (if that counts).

Anyway, I downloaded the demo for Mega Man 10 on the PSN. I'm not sure I'm going to buy it just yet, since I'm not even close to being finished with Mega Man 9 (hard game, my friends!). But it's quite good so far.

Does anybody know when Doom II is finally being released on XBLA? It's been in limbo for quite a while now, and surely it isn't THAT hard to port over to XBLA (they did it with the original Doom, after all).

I just recently bought Mega man 9, havent had time to play it properly but for what i played, i'd have to agree with you that is indeed a hard game, way harder than the Nes games.

The online multiplayer of Demon's Souls is my favourite so far, it actually complements the singleplayer experience, i wish more games were like that, now all the develepoers seems to focus more on multiplayer and leave the single player behind.

[Demon's Souls SPOILERS]

I beat the boss of 3-2 (Maneater) last night and decided to go straight into 3-3, halfway up the stairs i see a video of the boss summoning another player to fight me, the video ends and i see the message that my game was being invaded, my heart was pumping fast and just as i walked through the fog gate, i get backstabed by the other player who was patiently waiting for me at the entrance, the guy was frikin fast rolling around all over the place tryng to get at my back to backstab me again, and i was wearing the gloom heavy armor set that greatly reduces my mobility, but he got careless and i managed to cure myself with herbs, now it was time for some payback, as he rolled towards me i swinged my dragon long sword +5 twice, he tried cure himself and i swinged again, took two or three hits more and the fight was over, one of the best boss fights i've ever played.

[END SPOILERS]

I almost forgot about that because it is integrated so well into the singleplayer. Everytime a Black Phantom invaded it was one of the most exciting moments in any game ive ever played. Demon's Souls isn't only the best RPG this generation, its also the best game overall (my opinion of course). Ive been pretty lucky with invasions in my game, Im something like 22-1. The 1 loss was because I thought I didn't have my wand equipped but I did and so when I hit the button in unequipped and I was left there with no weapon and it was too late by the time I figured it out.

Team Fortress 2 on the PC is where it's at folks. Playing to win as a team, much better than getting a hard on for being on top of the scoring list

Or Left 4 Dead 2, nom nom nom brains.
