I just watched the free prelims on TV. I have the event downloaded and I'm gonna give it a watch. If you want the torrent link let me know

But yeah, they were good fights. I just expected more. Is Melendez top 3 for middleweights now? And why can't Japanese fighters be more successful in north America?

Just saw this... Melendez is ranked in the top 3 LW's now because Aoki was number 2 at the time.

A lot of the Japanese fighters I think just come from camps that aren't on the level of US camps these days. So many camps are really stepping up their game and pushing their fighters super hard, and I don't think that's always the case over in Japan. It seems they're sometimes content letting their fighters just kinda cruise without improvement, like Aoki.

I think the loss will be good for Aoki. He actually requested to train with Melendez's team over at Caeser Gracie's camp after the loss and they accepted. :)

But yeah, I hate seeing all my DREAM/Sengoku guys or whatever get beat all the time over here. It's sort of disappointing, particularly Mousasi losing. =/

Shogun over Machida
Koscheck over Daily
Stephens over Stout
Mitrione over Slice
Belcher over Cote
Lawlor over Doerksen
Davis over Goulet
Hague over Beltran
Yoshida over Guymon
J-Mac over Salter

This is actually a great card, I want to watch and am interested in every single fight. I'll probably explain my pics later when I'm not lazy.

Never vote against Sam Stout. He's got hands of stone.

Haha. He's an interesting fighter... I say that because he's able to KO/TKO everyone as long as he's not in a UFC fight. lol. Take a look at his record sometime.

No talking any shit, I just find it interesting.

I know he's far from well-rounded, but the dude can take and give a beating. He's usually never part of a boring fight, plus the whole Canadian pride thing.

He lives and trains not far from me at all.

isn't the whole time difference thing a bit of a bummer? Like the fights for me don't start until 10 pm, and with you being in Sweden that must mean the start time is roughly 3 or 4 am, is it not?

Yeah it's a pain... I'm probably gonna wait and catch it tomorrow instead with some friends. Hard to get a group together at 3 AM ;)

I'm a night owl anyway though. That's how I end up watching a bunch of NHL games.

So glad he's gone. Now people will finally shut up about him. Unless Strokeforce signs him, but I don't see that happening.

Those opening takedowns were mildly exciting but then he just looked sad. It is what it is. You guys were right.

According to all the know-it-alls over at yahoo, Kimbo Slice should be tabelling offers from several MMA organizations.

I hope somebody signs him and they hand feed him like Elite XC did until he accidently gets caught and the company then goes bankrupt.

Haha yeah I usually know my shit. I'm bitter that Lawlor lost, though. P4P best weigh ins ever when he shows up.

Speaking of Strikeforce, did anyone watch? Overeem definitely showed up!
