White cops have been done, though, they're old news. We've had white cops for years! I think they should do a female spiderman. They could call it 'Spiderwoman' and it would be much better than repeating the same old spiderman story.

Last I knew, there've been around three spider-women.

In regards to Don Glover, all I've seen him in are a couple of Derrick Comedy sketches, so I'm not sure how his chops are as a "serious" actor, but he should have the comedic aspects and banter of Spider-Man down. I've heard good things about him in Community and Mystery Team, though, so perhaps he does have what it takes for the more serious moments.

In regards to Don Glover's blackness, I don't really see how it would be a problem for him to play Spider-man. Elements of his character may have to change, as the experience of a black Peter Parker growing up in the world probably wouldn't be exactly the same as a white one's, but the changes may not have to be that great in number. Peter Parker has to be a nerdy guy, but I don't see how it's integral to his character to be a nerdy white guy.

Also, I think that when adapting something it's best to have some room to play around with source-material, otherwise, why adapt it in the first place? Therefore, just because Spider-Man has hitherto been a white kid, I don't see why he has to remain one in the context of this movie.
