Yep, that was such an awful and anti-climactic goal, and even some of the Hawks weren't sure it went in. Still happy the Hawks won, and it was a fun series.

The refs/fans/players/coaches couldn't understand why he was in net.

So the Leafs showed off their new jerseys today and named Dion Phanuef as the new captain.

new jerseys are awesome, and Phanuef is just the guy to be the new captain.

I am excited.

Gonna be an interesting off-season, I'm excited for the draft and free agency. Trades trades trades!

Talk about a bold move. Decent prospects but come on, Halak was unbelievable during the playoffs. Not happy about seeing him come out west.

the north east division is quite happy he is gone. My Leafers will only see him once a year now.

heres hoping to a shit year for Price and a totally dominant year for Halak!

I'm certainly glad Halak is out of the division. And now I can root against Montreal with no qualifications, since Pretty Boy Price is in behind the pipes now. Blues fans must be ecstatic at this trade.

head to any hockey site, Blues fans are still in shock where Habs fans are ready to slit their wrists.

I love it.

Okay, Should the Canes trade big for Boston's pick this year?

If a trade makes sense then sure.. However it gets very costly to move around that high up in the draft. For example, in 2008 Toronto moved up from 7th to 5th and if I remember correctly it cost them two second round picks. That's a pretty significant cost just to turn your 7th pick to a 5th so as you can imagine, moving from 7th to 2nd wouldn't be cheap... Those top two or three picks are extremely valuable.

A deal like that would have to include Eric Staal, which would be really stupid unless they're planning to blow up the whole team and start from scratch (which also doesn't make sense since he's only 25).

No, it's mainly rumours including two first round picks (2010 and 2011), so basically a Toronto.. I don't know, Seguin would be hella nice though.

Phil Kessel just scored 30 goals on a season where he was hurt and had no training camp.

What has Seguin or Hall done in the NHL? Jack shit.

Alexandre Daigle? Patrik Stefan?

Yeah thanks bye.

But they could have had Kessel AND the pick. But I digress.
