I've basically been arguing for Carwin. Not going into as muchdetail as you, but I think Shane will win.

It's in his name.

Yeah, I got Carwin, too.
Can't wait for this fight, actually.

Saturday, 5:00 pm, I'll be in San Jose watching Cyborg and Fedor do their thing.

FUCK! Wanderlei had to pull out of the fight due to a rib injury.

As for Lesnar/Carwin, I've been going back and forth on the issue ever since Carwin lit Mir up. That fight blew me away, I couldn't believe how strong he looked. You can't deny the power of Carwin, you just can't. His knockouts speak for themselves and he is a huge guy. He does have some question marks though... Is his wrestling strong enough to combat Lesnar in that area? From what I understand, wrestlers generally don't like to be on their backs and that's likely where Carwin is gonna end up at least a portion of the fight with Lesnar on top of him. Will he wear down? Since his fights so far have ended in the first round no one really knows what will happen beyond that, especially in a championship five round fight. Brock has in the past shown he can go three rounds without slowing down. Of course that won't matter if Carwin knocks him out in the first round.

Like I said, I've been flip flopping this whole time but right now I'm leaning towards Lesnar. I am in no way counting Carwin out though!

Carwin trains with some of the best in the world and while there is a probability he could end up on his back, and get into some trouble... I think he'll be able to stuff the takedown, or at least get into a scramble and maybe get a clinch going and moving Brock on over to the fence.

I see these guys clinching up a lot, honestly. I'm hoping Carwin goes in there like he always does and Greg Jackson doesn't have some super secret plan he thinks will keep Shane ahead. He does that sometimes and I think it keeps a lot of fighters he trains holding back.

We'll see what happens here when an unstoppable force meets an immovable object. :D

Fedor, Fedor, Fedor...

tsk tsk tsk

he was too aggressive. He rocked Werdum and pounced, but he pulled a Lesnar (went too crazy and got caught).

I like how after Fedor tapped the Strikeforce commentators went silent. It was like all 3 of them were thinking "Fuck! That's not supposed to happen."

Mauro Renallo had nothing to say at all after it happened. He's been covering Fedor since Pride and like me he was devastated.

I sat with my head in my hands for maybe 5 minutes, my brother and friends also were silent. We're MMA diehards and I have been watching Fedor since I got into Pride in 2003, same with my brother and one other friend.

I've already posted about this on a few other forums, so I'll be brief. Fedor made a mistake, he admitted what his mistake was, and if he plans to continue fighting after his next SF fight I think he can still be the best in the world.

He got careless in a situation where he shouldn't have, which is very un-Fedor-like. Werdum has a legendary BJJ game for MMA and used his skills to end the fight, so props to Werdum.

I'm still a Fedor diehard and behind his legacy 100%. I just hope he continues to fight after his contract with SF is up.

It was a very surreal moment.

Still 100% behind Fedor and his legacy; 1 loss in 10 years and 34 fights is nothing to be ashamed of, and Werdum is no slouch.
It happens.

I felt bad for Jan Finney, though. Cyborg punished her pretty badly.

You know, the truth is he's no spring chicken; 39 (or is it 38?) is way past the prime. No matter how skilled you are, the body just isn't what it used to be.
Still, in a rematch with Werdum I still think Fedor takes it; he's a smart, patient fighter with a ton of self-discipline and won't get caught twice.
Fedor is ten times the fighetr Lesnar could ever hope to be.
No disrespect to Lesnar, he is a serious athlete and if he had started five or so years earlier, he might have been a great fighter, but still, Fedor is the fucking man.

Haha, yeah.
For some reason I was thinking he was pushing 40...
Damn, I'm the one that's getting old, mind's going blank.

Cung Le is 38, but he looks like he's got lots of fight left in him.

Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if Fedor retires after his last SF fight. We'll see what happens.

Is all I gotta say about Carwin. Badass highlight reel. Fights start at 1:30 and it's a 5 minute video.

I would love Carwin to knock the living shit out of Lesnar....

But I think Lesnar will win. He's just so godamned...scary. That is one scary motherfucker.

IMO Carwin is a guy I'd rather not piss off over Lesnar.

He's coming in bigger than Lesnar, is undefeated, has better hands, and is just as hungry to win.

Carwin will win. I hope he leans on Lesnar and dirty boxes him into oblivion.

Yeah, I'd almost prefer to see a quick, embarrasing thrashing than a good, drawn out fight. It would be worth it, hehe. But I don't think that will be the case.

Anyway, I just moved out to an apartment with my girlfriend and so now I dont have cable tv so I can't even get this PPV. Fucken lame.
