The Dutch slaughtered the game on their own... if anything Webb was way too lenient.

Oh Spain, how you failed to impress me through the whole tournament. Until now. Great game, great great play by the Spanish team. The Netherlands were shit. Spain is definitely worthy champions of the world, even though I still dislike them. Congratulations.

I think Spain played a lot better against Germany. But Germany tryed to play, and Holland just try to play dirty and cut the game's flow.

I think the Dutch should be proud for making it to the final, but should be ashamed of how violent and classless their final performance was. DeJong and Van Bommel are both absolute shit. Their only purpose on the field was to hit the Spanish. To Holland's credit, Sneijder and Robben are two of the very best ever. Robben in particular is dangerous every time he touches the ball. But massive credit to Spain for taking a beating and still managing to win. Spanish class was in the end, too much for the Dutch Rugby team. Iniesta es el puto amo!!!

Oh and the goal was nowhere near offsides, and complaining about a missed corner kick is retarded because judging by how all the other set pieces went, Spain's defense would have cracked down on it. Or Mathijsen would have put it wide. Either way, VIVA ESPANA!! CAMPE-FUCKIN-ONES DEL MUNDO!!

Way to find a positive in a team's failure to advance beyond the group stage or manage a quality, non-fluke, result.

But yes, I suppose I would be happy as well if my team were the only team to beat the World Champions in the tournament.

I don't really care about our victory against Spain, we were quite bad this tournament. Seriously, however, I'm considering having high hopes for the 2012 Euro or the 2014 World Cup, given that last year the Swiss won the U17 World Cup. In a few years we'll have a team full of young, fresh talent able of beating the young'uns of the other teams. Who knows, we might actually get somewhere.

Well, hopefully the Dutch won't qualify for the Euro Cup and we can be spared another rugby team masquerading as a football squad.

De Jong, you are a neanderthal.

I doubt they miss it. They had been unbeaten in 25 matches in a row.

They've failed to qualify before with arguably better teams.

Hm, I'm going to have to develop an interest in club football, I don't want to give this hobby up. Let's see, Scottish Premier League... Lads, help me out. Aberdeen seems to be shite, who should I pledge allegiance to?

Well, supporting a team just because they are good is seen as a bit of a no-no amongst British football fans. (Manchester United fans who didn't grow up in Manchester are frequently figures of ridicule). That said, I support Arsenal (very half-assedly it must be said) despite not being from London.
