I need to hear this one. I loved Sagas. The review makes me think I might be slightly disappointed though.

This isn't even close to Sagas, sorry..

I've heard it once. Based on my first listening I'd give it a 70. I would give Sagas a 95. I'll have to listen to it more and see if it grows on me.

Not heard this, but dare I suggest that this band are ever so slightly overrated?

Honestly the only songs I really liked were Aus Ferner Zeit and Kurzes Epos. I believe I was quite generous with my score.

Sagas was decent but not the second coming everyone makes it out to be. So yeah overrated but not bad by any means.

Only by some, with me most likely being one of them. I'll admit I'm a fanboy, but the first paragraph of this review should explain why.

Took another listen. All of the fun is gone. God forbid bands start taking Folk metal seriously.

There are plenty of bands that take Folk Metal seriously, it's just that the silly ones are often more visible.

What category would you see Crimefall falling in?

Sagas was easily one of the best metal albums of the last few years, and I sadly agree with you guys that this does not come close to it. It is a good album though, just shouldn't be compared to Sagas.

They're pretty fun, I like them.

Sagas is epic. I can listen to it any time of the day. It is actually in my top 25 of all time. I'm not a fan of this new singer, although to be fair, I haven't heard this all the way through. I'll reserve judgment once I've listened to it a few times.

I miss the previous singer with more edging shrieks. Music is fantastic.

Got this album yesterday, and then Turis Fratyr today, but I've had Sagas for around a year. Absolutely incredible, all of them, however I do agree that Rekreatur isn't as good, but it's still an amazing album. But, who else thinks the opening to "Verbrannte Erde" gives off a similar vibe to that of Windir's "Destroy"?
