Good purchases that's one of their more Gothic albums, and Gogol Bordello is just a fun band

Also, Gogol Bordello is awesome. Listen to "Wanderlust King" live and say it's not awesome.

Also also, Legacy, Plastic Beach is rly good. Not as good as the last one though :(

Even if it's not as good as Demon Days, I've liked all the songs I've heard from it, so I should still be happy with it.

The Lord Weird Slough Feg - The Slay Stack Grows

Sound quallity is shit but thats expected from early demos and live recordings, this isnt anyhting near essential but i think its farly interesting to hear the begginings of this awesome band without Scalzi on vocals (just on the demos he does sing on the live tracks), there is an early version of The Return Of Dr. Universe with vocals wich i found quite cool, the artwork its pretty neat too so props to Shadow Kingdom Records for releasing this, but die-hard fans only.

BTW listening to this made me realize how much i want Slough Feg to do a proper live album or DVD.

It's interesting but nothing spectacular. You're right on with your thoughts I think. I like that Return of Dr. Universe better possibly if it was just more polished. I love that track even if it's an intro.

Fucking LOVE it.

Honestly cannot comprehend the idea that there are people who found this to be a disappointment.

It depends on what one was expecting it to be. I hoped it'd be a killer doom/heavy metal fusion and it's just a heavy metal album with (too) few doom leanings. It doesn't make it a bad album, just a disappointing one from a band slowly losing its touch.

Well we're coming at this from very different angles.

I only came on board with this band at Iron Will, and it came at a time when I was very much appreciating the sounds of traditional heavy metal.

From my perspective, this simply a more refined and developed excursion into the sounds that I loved so much on Iron Will.
